Where can I start. This is an amazing b&b. We stayed in the Britannia suite for 16 nights, clean towels every other day and fresh sheets too. An amazing location as this is right on the edge of the French quarter so close enough to walk to all of the main sights and nightlife and cheap enough to jump in an Uber for any of those wonderful recommendations that you may gain from Betsy or Bill (hosts and owners). Far enough away from Bourbon Street so a really tranquil area for kicking back and relaxing. The real star of the show thou is Betsy, a wonderful breakfast every morning, something different every day, home cooked too and always presented under a beautiful cloth (you were always eager to see what was under the cloth each day) Eggs, cheese, quiche, fruit, breads, jams. And the host herself / a wonderful warm person - she lent me her wig cap so I could pin my long hair up ready for Pride parade. Betsy gave us so many wonderful recommendations for music, restaurants…stuff that just isn’t published in the guide books… We made picnics and Betsy gave us all the bits we needed to make our picnics special. I felt as thou we were friends of these wonderful warm people and that we were simply staying with friends and not paying guests… We have travelled far and wide and honestly can say the hospitality we received from Betsy and Bill is the best we have ever received. Why stay in a faceless hotel, when you can stay here… We arrived as guests and left as friends.. Book now!

Sandra, It was truly my pleasure to host you and Gavin on this long-awaited trip to New Orleans. To be able to share stories, tips and recommendations with guests who choose to do a deep exploration of our city and beyond is an honor for any innkeeper. To learn about your own story is the icing on the cake. Thank you for sharing your experience at Chez Palmiers with future travelers, who will hopefully embrace the bed and breakfast atmosphere that you thoughtfully described. We shall meet again, my friends! Until then, may all your travels be joyful.

We needed a 1 night stop before going onto a conference -- I wish we could have stayed much longer. The B&B itself is charming, the rooms exactly as they were advertised - very neat and clean and easily accessible. The property itself had a wonderful back yard with swimming pool and 2 charming dogs. Betsy is fabulous - so interesting to talk with, wonderful ideas as to food and sights to try, and she makes a perfect continental breakfast with more than you could want to try. We would definitely return.

This was our second stay and it was even better than the first, which was outstanding. The best thing about this B&B is it's location. Once you park your car, you never have to move it. Everything is walking distance. New owners Betsy & Bill really keep this quaint property in tip-top condition. The suite was very comfortable but the patio, WOW! A beautiful place to relax between walking trips around town. Less than 1/2 hour into our trip, we had an accident and had to return to the B&B. Betsy & Bill were immediately there to help with first aid and researched the closest ER. Betsy even texted us for an update when were were still at the ER. Great personal attention!

What a charming place to stay! Betsy, our friendly and personable host, greeted us with a smile when we arrived and each morning at breakfast. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We didn't use the pool - no suits! - but did enjoy relaxing on the pool deck with our lunch or a cup of tea and a book. The location is perfect, quiet despite being close to Frenchmen Street and the Quarter. We highly recommend this B & B and look forward to staying again next time we visit New Orleans!

We parked our car and walked to the Quarter and Frenchman Street actives. Free parking and a safe journey made the vacation effortless. Supporting a small family business and their success is important. Breakfast and coffee by the pool started our day right. We would gladly stay again.

My husband and I stayed at Chez Palmiers for five nights on 2/20-2/25 and we immediately loved the house, their owners—Betsy and Bill and their two cute basset hound dogs (Mabel and Marge). We stayed at the From Russia With Love Room and it was very clean, charming and oh so very comfortable! The room is tastefully decorated with antiques the owners collected from their travels. We loved coming to the house after a long day of exploring the city. The house is just a short minute walk (approximately 10 minutes) to the French quarter/Bourbon Street. It’s the perfect location as it’s very close but also far enough from the noise from the French quarter and Bourbon Street. We enjoyed waking up every morning to fresh fruit, fresh baked goodies and coffee and enjoyed our talks with Betsy and Bill. We loved being greeted by the dogs Mabel and Marge in the mornings! Betsy also gave us great recommendations for places to eat and areas to visit and made our experience in New Orleans a memorable one. After visiting other Bed and Breakfasts throughout New England, this is hands down the best service we have received.

I wrote a review on booking.com but felt the need to also write a review on trip advisor to spread the word more! Betsy and Bill were behind wonderful. They were more than host and hostess. They were a safe shelter, an open ear, a smiling face, and just so much more... I felt right at home, and as cheesy as it sounds it was destiny to stay here. We had to cook this last minute because our pool at our hotel was closed, so we switched and we are so thankfully our hotel got canceled because we never would of got to stay at their bed and breakfast, it was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast. The mornings were filled with fruits and a baked good along with cereal, and a fridge full of yogurt and so on! The pool was relaxing, and beautiful at night as it lit up. This bed and breakfast will have you sleeping peacefully at night in your comfy bed! I could tell you more, but look at the other reviews their isn’t anything bad to say about this. THERE IS NOTHING BAD TO SAY!! They have to beautiful doggies named marge and Mabel, and I loved them so much such good doggies. BOOK YA STAY!

We spent eight nights in New Orleans with Betsy. What a great place! When looking to book an accommodation I had a a few requirements: Free and easy parking, a swimming pool, free breakfast, and a good location within walking distance to the French Quarter. Chez Palmiers met all these! Betsy is a great host - providing breakfast each morning - fruit, cereal, and some sort of Danish. The plunge pool is great for cooling off in the afternoon. Parking is on the street. I moved my car six days on the trip and never had a problem finding parking just out front. A few tips: The neighborhood is safe - they are near the main road is they do have bars on the door - but I felt completely safe. There is a new Thai restaurant next door. Also Loretta's Authentic Pralines is a five minute walk down the road. Her Praline Beignets are to DIE for. I'd highly suggest a stay here.
