Stayed here for a weekend getaway and OH! what a getaway it was. The inn is great, the inn keeper warm, wonderful, friendly and helpful. The room was weel appointed, quiet and relaxing. The courtyard was beautiful, what a great retreat right in the middle of it all! We had a great stay at Maison DuBois and I have recommended... More

The Maison DuBois is located in the Marigny Triangle, a quick walk to Frenchman and the French Quarter. You get the best of both worlds...plus the quiet of a residential neighborhood away from the touristy hustle & bustle of the Quarter. It was relaxing and had a lot of history behind it. We stayed in the Esplanade Suite, overlooking a... More

We stayed here over 2nd weekend Jazz Fest last week and were thrilled with the place. Rooms were clean and fairly spacious. Lovely front and back porches. Very nice salt water pool and hot tub. The location was ideal for me as it was very near Frenchmen, the quarter and the Fair Grounds where Fest is held. Actually walked to... More

We had the good luck to be able to stay at this bed and breakfast this month. It is a beautiful, well kept house and the hosts could not be friendlier. There is a pool and two of the rooms have rooms with balconies overlooking the pool. The inn is just at the eastern border of the French Quarter, making... More

It was my first visit in New Orleans and thanks to our stay in Maison DuBois, it was awesome! I felt in love with this old house and the location of the house couldn't be better! It's so close to everything, so we didn't need to use our car at all. The house and rooms are very clean and the... More

We were welcomed into this beautiful 1840's home by charming and accommodating hosts. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking a charming private garden and pool. The location, on the edge of the Marigny is convenient to the French Quarter as well as the wonderful music and dining on Frenchmen Street. Surpassed all our expectations.

This charming B&B is wonderful. The location is perfect, not in the center so you don't get the noise and crowd but close enough to walk to the heart of the French quarter. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is charming and spacious with a nice living room. The pool/jacuzzi are is a big plus. I would... More

Can't say enough about Tom and his B&B. Tom was extremely helpful and courteous. Location was within walking distance of French Quarter and Frenchmen's St. Very quite and beautiful neighborhood. House was like be back in 20's. Thanks Tom

Everything one expects in upscale luxury in the charming "Big Easy." Feel at welcome in this beautifully decorated "home" with a private, secluded pool and jacuzzi--including the peaceful sound of a water fall. Tom of course is the consummate innkeeper, with a wealth of knowledge willingly shared. His gracious and infectious demeanor immediately makes you feel as though you've known... More

I have visited this amazing city on numerous occasions. I have visited many different venues for lodging in this wonderful city as well. I can without hesitation state that Maison DuBois is among the very best. My goodness, what an incredibly beautiful establishment this is. Maison Dubois is neatly tucked away inside the most desirable residential and commercial areas of... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
