My sister picked the Creole Inn because it was modestly priced, but truly we had first class treatment by Kim and Charlie who take care of the Inn. Love the historic home, location and just relaxing in the backyard after a day of seeing the New Orleans sights. Enjoyed where locals shop and eat just within a few short blocks...

I traveled to NOLA with my business partner and my daughter. My daughter and I stayed in the cowboy suite with her in the front bedroom and me in the back room. The feel of the Creole Inn and it's rooms felt like I was back in time and staying in the warm comfortable familiarity of the home I grew...

This is the perfect place for someone who wants to stay at a place that feels like a home rather than a hotel. We may have been the group that "partied" till the wee hours of the morning...lol...Sorry 'bout that...But thanks for not ruining our good time!! It really is a great time there!! I love this place and the...

We visited Creole Inn for a stay in order to sign books. The book signing was in Pirates' Alley. This is a wonderful base from which to travel in the city of NOLA. Good price, folks at CI provided us information we needed, and even drove us to the signing with boxes of books. Loved the place, with the antique...

We stayed here for three nights and it was lovely. It was so nice to feel at home instead of at a hotel. The innkeepers are super helpful and great! Only problem is the walls are thin and we had a group that partied until the wee hours of the morning even though the inn has a quiet time between...

Creole Inn was a real bargain and in a great location. We were within walking distance to the French Quarter, restaurants, great music, etc. The innkeepers were very friendly and made us feel right at home. We will be back.

Ok, it's not really my home, but it sure feels like it. This was my second stay in six months and the first with the new Innkeepers, Kim and Charley. It's a great place to stay for about half the going rate. This ain't the Ritz, but the rooms clean and comfortable. Anyway, who goes to New Orleans to hang...

The lodgings are not for those who expect standard hotel or B&B service. It's for those who are looking for safe clean lodgings, friendly hosts, a casual atmosphere, and a great price. The hosts Kim and Charlie were wonderful! I've never formed as close of an attachment at any other lodgings in my life. Laid back but willing to go...

I came down a few days to stay with some friends in New Orleans during Halloween who were staying at the Creole Inn. The Inn keepers Kim and Charley made me feel as if I was at home or visiting relatives or friends. For those concerned about the pictures of the quality of the Inn from about spring 2012 on...

Kim and Charley are very sweet and inviting. Kim makes coffee every morning and has great knowledge of where to go for anyone's liking. She even took us to the airport on our last day. It's in a quiet, safe neighborhood just walking distance from the French Quarter. Loved our stay!

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
