We had an awesome stay at the Creole Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone. Kim and Charley made us feel at home were wonderful hosts. They were very friendly and extremely nice people. We stayed here once before but felt more comfortable this time. The new management is great!

As advertised, there are few "perks" with this place but that's not a complaint. When we're traveling we're only looking for a clean place to lay our head - the cool back patio, morning coffee, and drinks with the gracious innkeepers were enjoyable bonuses. Although a bit of a walk to the French Quarter, we discovered we liked this neighborhood...

I stayed at the Creole Inn from June 1-5 and was very happy with the quality of the place as well as the surroundings! I was in the Plantation Suite, which was very cute & cozy. I just loved all the little furnishings in the room, like a little world globe next to the armoire. My room had a mini-fridge...

This is the second yr. that we stayed at the Creole Inn and it definitely won't be our last. We had a party of 10 family members and took up 4 of the rooms. Our room was clean, private and homey. We had a room that opened into the courtyard which made it extremely convenient. Within walking distance to the...

Stayed here on our honeymoon and was very pleased. The rooms were very clean, quiet, private, and safe. I never once worried about leaving my belongings in the room while we were away. Had mini fridge in the room. Was within walking distance of the French Quarter. Staff was extra friendly and helpful.

I love Gayle and the Creole Inn. We rented the entire house for my wedding party and honestly, I couldn't have asked for better hosts and a better location. The rooms are great. The only down side is the smallish showers. My husband is 6'4 so him fitting in them was a little difficult. Other than that, the staff was...

This place is highly recommended for those who want a secure base to explore this awesome city. The guesthouse is very well-maintained, quiet and in a great location. I was made to feel very welcome and given some great advice about where to eat and what to see. Will definitely be returning in the future.

From May 7th till May 18th I stayed in Creole Inn and I can truly and honestly say it was the best out of 4 vacations in New Orleans so far. The hosts Kim and Charley went out of their way to make you feel at home. To hire them was the best choice the owners could make. Also the...

Returning after 7 months to re-experience the sights & sounds of New Orleans and of the neighborhood of Creole Inn. Left last time as guests and welcomed back this time as old friends by Kim & Charley. Clean, comfy & cosy - like staying with family & friends. In the immediate neighborhood up to St.Claude & across to Esplanade Ave....

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
