My sister, daughter and myself stayed at this lovely inn and it was great! The Innkeepers Kim and Charlie instantly made us feel welcomed and at home just like family would. We stayed in the Cowboy room witch has two rooms and a bathroom and AC plus a fan if you needed it. This was ample space for us. We... More

This place is so comfortable and homey. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a full bath, and loved it. Clean and comfy. The couple running the inn are very nice and helpful. Just a 10 minute walk to The French Quarter. You get to live like a local when staying in Marigny. I will def return when visiting New... More

Stayed in Sweet Dreams Suite, most comfortable bed I ever slept in. The caretakers, Kim and Charlie were very accommodating and helpful but unobtrusive. Loved being able to go sit and relax in backyard courtyard and really enjoyed resident dog Bo as him being around took my mind off missing my own dogs. Great place to stay and have already... More

This Inn is perfect for experiencing the local feel of the neighborhood. The location is in a quiet residential area within walking distance to the French Quarter, Frenchman's Street, the public transportation systems and Harrah's. The house is comfortable and the innkeeper's are nice, friendly and helpful. Our group had three of the suites and since there were 10 of... More

First time to the Inn. Cozy old world charm. We stayed in the Old Europe rooms. Read the reviews and was hesitant about staying there. Thankfully, we did. It has the feel of staying at an older Aunt's home. This is not the polished modern look, it is old Southern charm. Rooms were good sized and comfortable. The caretakers kind... More

8th. visit to the Inn, and each time seemingly more enjoyable than the last. Stayed in Old Europe and Cowboy Rooms this time, with the memory foam mattresses for a comfy night's sleep. Tho' the mattress in Old Europe front room, we tended to roll 'downhill', we thought that it was the settled lean of the 175 year old house,... More

I'm a no frills type of girl. And I enjoyed my stay here. Kim was a wonderful hostess. She helped us out a lot, it was my first time in Nola. I would definitely stay there again. I only needed a place to sleep, I was there to see the city. As the site says, if you're expecting the Ritz,... More

We have been staying at the Creole Inn for the past 4 years. Kim and Charlie who run the place are like family to us. We had a wonderful dinner together, and the conversation is never ending. The Inn is very clean and close to a lot of interesting bars and restaurants. We have found our home away from home.... More

We just returned from the Creole Inn today. We were heartily welcomed by Kim the manager of the inn. She and her husband Charlie are absolutely wonderful hosts, full of local knowledge and suggestions of where to go and what to see to get a real New Orleans experience. This place is in a fantastic location within walking distance to... More

When we arrived, even though we arrived early, we were warmly welcomed by our hosts. We were given advise on places to eat or tour and given a map of the area and downtown. Close enough to walk to most places. Quiet and peaceful nights.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
