I booked my stay through Hotel Tonight. When I arrived at the hotel, the young lady met me with a warm, kind greeting. Apparently there was a glitch on the Hotels Tonight end that resulted in about a five minute wait. When I got to my room, the young lady at the desk called to make sure I had everything I needed and to apologize for the wait again. About 20 minues later, guest services brought a letter from her with a very thoughtful note and a card for a free coffee and breakfast at the café downstairs. Great experience! I’ll be back to visit this clean, retro-cool hotel again.

Hotel's Favorite
My stay was fabulous. The Ponchartrain is definitely a gem in the Garden District. Upscale and classy in every sense of the word. What makes this hotel shimmer and shine are the employees. Front desk personnel Josh and Jerry always ready with a smile and great advice. Freddie, Mike, and Lindsay always pleasant and I enjoyed my chats with them. They made me feel not only like a welcome guest but a friend. I will never forget this trip and can't wait until I return to the history, beauty and hospitality that is the Ponchartrain Hotel.

The Pontchartrain Hotel was lovely. My husband and I had an amazing stay. Mike and Freddie at the valet were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the city. They always greeted us with a smile and positive attitude. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit!

We booked a two room suite, which worked out well for my family of two kids. The hotel is located in the garden district, which is about a 10 minute drive to the French quarter. There are a few restaurants around, but not a huge amount. The neighborhood seemed safe during the day but not so much at night, with some homeless people around the block. The hotel itself is historic and beautiful, and generally clean. However when we arrived, the kids found cigarettes in their room from a prior guest. I did let management know at the time. The hotel decor is nice and the bar at the top has a great view of the city. We went when there were thunderstorms and it went from clear to can barely see in a few minutes. The attached restaurant was pretty pricy and they made a lot of mistakes with our order. They also included a sharp shard of plastic in the food. For the price, I think the room was good, but I am not sure I would stay here again.

I had a really great stay here. I was there for a staycation for my birthday. My most pleasant experiences were with Keron (valet) and the male bartender at Hot Tin on Jan 9th (I didn’t get his name). Keron provided the best valet experience I’ve ever had. I felt safe and well cared for when entering and exiting the hotel, when he was at work. The bartender created a drink for me for my birthday and it was very delicious. All in all a great stay overall but these guys made it extra special!
