This is a decent hotel if you're staying overnight for a convention. It's location is perfect for easy access to the convention center. But the rooms certainly aren't very clean. And our housekeeper never came through to clean our room at any point while we were there. They did place two new towels on our dirty bed, but that was...

Just on location alone, this hotel is excellent when cruising out of New Orleans. We stayed here the night before a cruise on Royal Caribbean. I kid you not, we were so close to the RC cruise terminal(Julia St), we actually walked, luggage and all, from the hotel to cruise terminal. We parked our car the night before cruise at...

If you are taking a cruise, this is a great place to stay because you can walk to the cruise port from the hotel and not have to pay for a taxi. We stayed two nights, having gotten the hotel on Priceline. My experience is that when you show up for a Priceline rental, you will be shown one of...

My wife and I recently enjoyed a two night stay at this hotel. We found the hotel to be very nice and the rooms neat and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any requests. It is bothersome in this day and age to have to purchase wi-fi internet but we did buy 24 hours worth and the...

We stayed at this hotel while attending an event at the convention center across the street. The location was excellent. The staff was polite and helpful. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fresh fruit and water. Check-in was a breeze. The concierge lounge was wonderful for breakfast and an early evening snack. Nothing but positive things to say about our...

We enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location as the mardi gras parade ended right in front of the hotel. Walkable to the French Quarter. The most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in. Room was clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is directly across the street from the Convention Center, which makes it incredibly convenient. The rooms are average, good wi-fi, bathroom with a tub but not a separate shower, comfortable bed, adequate linens. No surprises, either way. The hotel restaurant is really marginal, but there are other restaurants very close...

We stayed in Rm 828, a big room but with the hardest bed I've ever slept on. I asked for a mattress pad, but they didn't have anything to help. The 2nd night, we slept on the duvet cover with a sheet and cotton blanket. Slightly better, but not good enough. The A/C unit didn't control very well either. It...

This is a good hotel if you are attending a convention. It is across the street and very easy. The hotel is a little tired and really offers no good options for food or drink. The Starbucks in the lobby is great. Location is the big plus, otherwise it is really overpriced.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
