My daughter and I stayed recently at The Lookout and had a fabulous time in New Orleans. The Inn is an historical building with four separate suits. We stayed in the beautifully decorated Mardi Gras suite. There's a pool and hot tub in the backyard with lots of seating areas fully shading you from the hot NOLA sun. Anything you may have forgotten to bring with you, they have! I had a great time staying at The Lookout and I will stay there again when I come back to NOLA as well as refer the place to anyone I know headed tha way. Thank you for a very comfortable, safe and lovely place to stay!
Walked into an oasis of gardens and salt water pool with cabana. My room, Bollywood, was beautiful and roomy, with an ultra comfortable bed. Neighborhood is eclectic and full of small restaurants and bars all in walking distance…with charming New Orleans architecture. Owner was most accommodating . Highly recommend!
For my 40th birthday, my husband and I, along with 7 of our closest friends and 3 small dogs decided to visit New Orleans. We are from there and usually stay with family when visiting but, with first-timers in tow, we looked for somewhere we could spread out and rented the entire Lookout Inn. Considering we had the entire place to ourselves, it was a great deal. The rooms are gorgeous- well decorated and well maintained. There is no indoor gathering space but you won’t want to be inside with a patio as cute as The Lookout has. It was a little chilly for the pool (though we did try to make it work) but the hot tub was lovely. We spent every morning drinking coffee in the cabana. The innkeepers made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us get reservations at a busy restaurant! They provide guides to the area in each room which is super helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and we never had to park more than half a block from the inn. I seriously cannot say enough about how great this place was. 10 out of 10!…
Lookout Inn is a Gem in the Bywater! One of the best rooms with plenty of space for a short or long stay. The Bathrooms are huge, nice sleeping area and the sitting room is perfect. Sofa bed (Extra Bed), desk and TV for you to enjoy when you are not sleeping. Little club house next to the pool and hot tub, with a few amazing sitting area. Enjoy the covered patio during any size storm! Bourbon Street and Frenchman street people think is the best thing in NOLA, this place shines brighter for the Bywater. Many great restaurants (Jack Dempsey's and Alma) and bars (Bacchanal and Vaughn's) at all level of prices. Kelly, the owner, is one of the nicest people you can meet. She does an amazing job with the place and always making sure you have everything you need. Any questions, just ask and she makes it happen. Percival or Perceval or Peredur or Percy or my bride's nickname "Percy Jones" is the cutest French Bull dog you will find in NOLA. Percy likes to flirt with you while you are enjoying your morning coffee by poolside. Smiles every morning from our visits. When I return to NOLA, I will be staying at the Lookout Inn and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Incredible Room for an Incredible Price!…
The lookout inn was a perfect place to stay! In a beautiful quiet location near many bars and restaurants with incredibly accommodating amenities and comfy room! We would definitely stay here again, no doubt about it.
It is hard to express in words how incredible the stay was at the Lookout Inn. We booked all four rooms for a girls trip. The hosts are amazing. They are very friendly and accommodating. They have created the perfect backyard oasis. Additionally, the guest rooms and bathrooms are beautiful. I honestly never want to stay in a hotel again. I would highly recommend staying at the Lookout Inn!
If I’m in New Orleans, you will find me at the Lookout. This is hands down the best place to stay in the city. Tucked into the Bywater neighborhood this gem will make your stay in Nola spectacular. The owners are phenomenal and beyond accommodating. The rooms are huge and have the most comfortable beds I’m the world! (I legit bought the mattress they use!) The neighborhood has so many great spots for food and drinks, I recommend Alma for brunch and Bacchanal for wine and music! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! Go check it out for yourself!!
Our group booked out the entire Inn for a girls trip and had a wonderful time here! It was the perfect place to relax by the pool, enjoy the hot tub, cups of coffee on the patio, and evening chats with a drink. The suites are huge and provided ample space to fee comfortable and relaxed. The large bathrooms were an extra treat! I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking for a quieter retreat after a busy day in the French Quarter. The area is so unique with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
This was my first time in New Orleans and I have to say that I don't think I could stay anywhere else when I come visit again. We had booked out the whole Inn, which was super nice. Kelly and Mark were so accomodating and sweet! She had great recommendations for around the whole city as well. I recommend everyone check out the Inn when they visit! Also - the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed in!
We booked all 4 suites at The Lookout for my husband’s 50th birthday and could not be more delighted with our week: The suites are fun and huge and all have claw foot tubs (with showers). The back patio/pool area has a great pool house and the hot tub is perfect when it’s too cold for the pool. Kelly helped arrange a sweet concert on the Inn’s front porch. You’re walking distance to great restaurants and bars, and the Bywater neighborhood is just terrific in general. We loved having The Lookout as a home-base and will be back!
