We spent 4 nights at the Lions Inn in the Marigny District and found it an excellent place to stay. We walked to the French Quarter and Frenchman St. When we needed to go farther, we walked 4 blocks to the Riverfront Streetcar, which came...More
I can't say enough about the hospitality, great room comfy bed. I have had some pretty shabby breakfasts served to me. Not so here, yummy things in a wide selection. The best part is you can sit and the dining room table or take your...More
When you step up to this B&B you will not expect what you find behind the building and through the gate. It is like your own little oasis in a busy city. The owner keeps the grounds and rooms very clean and well maintained there...More

Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.

Actually, a couple of rooms with private bathrooms had the bathroom outside their room anyway. I would use shared on next visit again. Loved it there
