My husband Colin and I booked the Marigny Manor House for 3 nights in early August, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Brian and Alvin were the most amazing hosts. From their hospitality to delicious breakfasts to great company, this B&B certainly exceeded our already high expectations. We were not sure what to expect in New Orleans during Covid, but Brian and Alvin made sure we knew which restaurants and museums were open (make sure to do a river cruise on the Creole Queen), which places they recommended (Adolfo’s restaurant is delicious), and which ones to avoid (thank you!). The house was beautiful and full of history and stories from years past. The room we stayed in (the Bourbon-Queen Ensuite) was so comfortable and even had a private patio overlooking the street. If you are looking at photos of the front of the house online, the second floor balcony is attached to this room. (And the air conditioning worked great!) By the end of our stay, we felt as though we had made new friends and we hope that we will be able to come back again soon. If Brian and Alvin are ever out in California, I hope they know they are welcome to stay with us! Thank you for everything. We will always remember our first trip to New Orleans fondly.…
We absolutely loved the unique style and charm of this bed and breakfast! This was my second visit to the property and I wouldn't stay in any other location while in New Orleans. Brian and Alvin go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the rooms are kept immaculate. There wasn't much going on in New Orleans due to the COVID-19 pandemic but it was still a great place to take a break in the "Big Easy".
My wife and I came down and stayed at the manor for two nights while house-hunting in New Orleans. The place was very clean and had a very classic New Orleans feel. I cannot say enough about the owners – they were very hospitable and took care of us extremely well. Will definitely come back here and recommend to our friends and family!
Brian and Alvin were,as ever, the perfect hosts. This was our 3rd visit and we will be back again as soon as this virus thing ends and the world gets back to normal. This time our visit included getting married in the French Quarter with Brian & Alvin being our ring bearers and witnesses. We have nothing but praise for the Marigny Manor and as previously stated,we will be back.
This is a great place for fun people to stay (or not, if you want to be private, that's fine). The owners/inkeepers are fantastic and outgoing. We got lots of recommendations for great places to eat and things to do. We enjoyed our conversations with them...fun couple. Location is perfect for walking to the quarter as well as Frenchman Street. VERY CLEAN inside. Hope to come again!
