The park is quiet, gated, has level gravel pull through sites and back in sites, shower rooms, for a fee there is transportation to the French Quarter, weekend entertainment, a bar and grill, laundry room, playground and a pool. Now that the road out in front has been paved, it's a great place to stay for a reasonable price. We used Passport America for our stay. The staff is friendly and the spaces are ample for a big rig. It's still an industrial area, dusty when the weather is dry and the wind blows but we've never felt unsafe, any lite mist keeps the dust down and we will continue to stay when ever we visit New Orleans. WiFi needs improvement but they are working on it. Cable is great. We met up with three other couples who stayed here as well and they agreed, it's a good place to stay for a reasonable price.

We stayed here for three nights while visiting the New Orleans area. The campground is very nice and close to everything. The sites are smaller but the person who helped us to our site was so awesome and saw that a palm tree was hitting our slide out which we told him was fine but he came back that evening and trimmed a couple branches. Very nice of him! It's such a cute campground tucked into an area that certainly didn't seem like the place a campground would be in an industrial area with not a great road and lots of discarded furniture along the way. I was glad I read reviews ahead of time that talked about the road and area or we would have thought we were in the wrong place. It took about 15 minutes to get to the French Quarter and other areas we wanted to visit. We did try some appetizers at the restaurant on site but felt they were expensive and not very good. We weren't about to try a meal after that. But I highly recommend this campground if visiting the New Orleans area.

OK, let me start by saying you have to go through a sketchy type place to get here, but it isn't bad. We weren't sure of how this side of town was, and never found out really, so we drove to this site before making a reservation. We decided it looked good enough to stay, as it was close to the downtown action. There was several empty sites, and now that I have been there myself I understand why. We really wanted to stay here because they say they have shuttle service to downtown, but it is currently not running, so don't get your hopes up on that amenity. Sites were pretty narrow and you have to back into most of them. To go along with this the 'main' roads going in between rows are narrow as well so the larger the rig the harder to navigate, especially if you have someone occupying the space directly across from you. Hook ups were OK, except the sewer, it was very far from where it needed to be with how far I had to back in to get off the road. Luckily I had extra hoses to piece together to bridge the gap. I had to use a total of 3 hoses to reach the sewer drain out. Bath houses aren't bad and there is more than one. Bath house in the back only has one room for men, and one for women, so it is more private, but might be harder to get into. Restaurant on site, which is expensive, don't waste your time here. This was the most expensive meal we ate over 8 days and the food was not even local variety, just burgers and chicken tenders. Staff was helpful and polite, which was a plus, but overall worth moving on. On site is nothing but gravel/mud. It had rained so the roads/lots were flooded and full of water. Huge holes all throughout the park, so beware of driving fast.

I called this morning to verify that the main road (French) and their interior park roads were both paved recently as per the Managers posts in his review rebuttals. The girl who answered the phone was quite nice and said the main road to their site was paved last fall however the park roads which were to have been paved by the end of 2018, and then when that did not happen, got rescheduled to happen no later then the end of 2019 have not been paved and the staff does not have any information as to when (if ever) it will get paved.

As you might have guessed, I chose not to book my 7 day stay with them for this reason. I read plenty of reviews stating that this park is so dusty and muddy that it makes peoples stay very unplesant, even when they rate the park well.

Here is a copy of the Managers statement from March 2018:

Jeannine,
You are correct that our very dry spring has left us with a dust issue until we get some much needed rain. There is great news on the horizon though. The park is set to be paved before the end of the year!!! Safe travels.

Sorry for not posting an update. 3 months after that post we were hit with a great personal tragedy. I will not go into detail in a public forum, but I will say although it would have stopped most, we pressed on dedicated to what we have spent 12 years building. The main road (France) has been completely redone, however is not yet finished. They are adding another 3 inches of asphalt as well as 65 new lights that is scheduled to be completed by the middle of March. The speed at which that project moved has been frustrating to us to say the least. We chose to pave the park after completion of the road as all the construction traffic came thru our property as we purchased the millage to raise the north 10 acres. It wouldn't have made sense to do it in reverse as it would have torn up a million dollars worth of roads. We have also spent the last year dealing with both state (Port Authority) and federal (Army Corps) finalizing the permitting so we can begin as soon as France road is completed. That completion date as I mentioned will be in March which is the middle of our high season, (100% occupancy) so our break ground date will be pushed to the beginning of our off season (50% occupancy) which starts in August. I hope this follow up helps and I am truly sorry the lack of a follow up earned us a 2 star review from someone who has never been here. Safe Travels.

We stayed in the Green Houseboat and it was Horrible. It was suppose to sleep up to 8 people which is too many for this unit. There was 5 Adults in our Group. The was a loft but there was No furniture or anything to sleep on up there. It was very Dirty and unclean and had not been shown any love in a very long time. There was an Area Rug that was so dirty we rolled it up and put it out of the way. There were NO Steak knives, NO Potholders, NO Tea Towels or Kitchen Towels. The Smoke Detectors went off every time we cooked. There was only a service for 5 of Flatware, NO kitchen or Bath Rugs. There was Only One Knife for cooking, We only had 4 Bath Towels for 5 people so had to ask for more and they knew ahead of time that there was 5 of us. The Oven was Filthy, Only 3 Wine Glasses. One of the showers shower head had fallen down and one of our party fixed it enough so it could be used or we would have only had One Shower for our 5 Adults in our Group. I don’t know who owns it but it has not been Taken care of and Kept up. There is No Railing between the Houseboat and the Water so I would NOT take any kids there as they would probably fall into the water. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! The Furniture was Filthy Dirty and the Dining Chairs Falling apart. See Photos.

Our site faced the intercoastal waterway. Superb view and the breeze was heavenly every evening. The campground is all shell so very dusty. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to do whatever it took to make you happy. We had to have a few trees trimmed and they were there johnny on the spot and trimmed until we were satisfied. Small pool....needed vacuuming...didn't eat at the restaurant but had drinks. Forget the internet unless you want to camp out on the restaurant patio in the heat.

We stayed at Ponchartrain Landing RV Park for eight nights while visiting our daughter in New Orleans. We were traveling in our Class A Motorhome. The Landing is right on a canal not far from the shores of Lake Ponchartrain. It's a secure, gated park in an industrial area, but it's quiet, safe and especially nice being right on the water. There's a small restaurant and bar on site that has very, very good food.
When one issue developed, the general manager (Joe) was super responsive and made sure things were quickly resolved to our satisfaction.
Looking at a map, you might think the park is too far from the action in the Quarter. Not so, it takes less than 15 minutes to get into the French Quarter. We recommend taking Elysisan Fields from near the park. This takes you to Decatur Street and the hub of fabulous live music on Frenchman's Street. We will return to the Landing!

Stayed here in an extremely tight spot and got stickers in my shoes and dogs feet when I walked. Restaurant/bar was almost empty and bartender unfriendly. Made another reservation for late December this year because I saw there was new management. We made reservations 2.5 months ahead of time to assure a parking spot for our RV. We called back two days after we made the reservation to cancel because we found out how shut down the city is. Because we don’t have the Covid vac we are not allowed in any building in the city! The park gave us a bad time about getting our money back but after husband talked to manager they gave us money back minus $50. Hope they like their $50 because we will never stay there again. Lost future revenue for them!

I live in New Orleans and I am an avid outdoorsman (hunting and fishing). I know what it means to "rough it". I had no idea I would do that 8 minutes from my house on the lakefront in New Orleans and 12 mintues from Downtown New Orleans. The Skinny: book a nice hotel downtown and skip this place entirely. I bought into their, "come and make memories" and since my 22 Center console boat is docket right next door, I rented a "condo" for 2 nights to dig in, fish with family, and enjoy what I thought was going to be a resort style adventure on the water. I should have just gone to my camp an hour away and done it right. For the ridiculous price of $329/night, excluding fees and tax, this is what I got:
Broken front door, hard to open.
Dirty dishes from last occupant unwashed in dishwasher.
2 broken chairs in living room with nasty worn headrests from 1000 prior skulls. Both leaned precariously to the right.
TV with one channel. WYES only. Other 2 TV’s obviously new because of the Walmart stickers still on them; “Comcast error” the only Channel to watch.
Door to laundry closet broken, open, and blocking access to hall.
Showers with 14” heads, but water supply of an RV, so the water only dribbled out of ½ the jets. Cheap beds, and pillows that were like garbage bags with air in them. Screamed: “whole place was outfitted at Walmart” (Vizio TV’s add to that vibe). Back Pier Condemned, so night fishing with the kids impossible. I had hoped to enjoy watching kids catch bait and fish like we did off piers while parents cocktailed. It’s the real reason I booked this condo since I already have a camp nearby that has better amenities.
Air Conditioners over bed; keep you awake all night. They sound like space ships powering up, then take off, then shut off. Does that over and over all night.
Paid internet is deficient and my daughter couldn’t watch YouTube on her iPad. With no night fishing options and no reliable internet, my daughter asked me to bring her home within 2 hours of arrival. When she told my wife about the place, she and my other daughter refused to come, so I slept in that dump alone and fished my fully fueled/baited boat alone the next morning.
If you want to do it right: stay at the lavish Winsor Court or Monteleon Hotels Downtown, with robes hanging in the closet and high tea at noon. Please skip this glorified trailer park entirely. My city offers way more than this place can possibly deliver, especially at 5 star hotel prices.

An awesome stay at an very interesting Spot. Really enjoyed our stay in one of the Villa with view on the little port and the Restaurant, shop + Pool area.
The rooms are sweet, clean, with a big barhroom and a big shower, every Romm has it’s own sun deck.
The staff is friendly, competend and take care of the guests wishes. Adam and his shuttle Service + City Tour is another Highlight, for 20,-$ he‘ll take you to the French quarter and picks you up there, to issued times or on request. For 60,-$ You‘ll get a flexible City Tour according your wishes, his explaining during the tour is nearly perfect, there a Story, there a fact, very enjoyed the tour. We visited the City Park, a very nice cemetary, Garden District and so many more and stopped whenever i wanted to take a picture. After nearly 3 1/2 hr, he took us (on our wish) back to the City Park and picked us up later, to bring US back to the Villa.

We felt in love with the Spot and whenever we‘ll come back to New Orleans, we‘ll come back here.

Kind regards.
