Nice hotel, clean and great location, HOWEVER, they do not have valet parking as their website states. Checked in and was told i had to drive 3 blocks away to a public garage. A bit of a hassle the next morning when i had to drag my roller bag to the garage at 5 am. If you have another person with you to do the car shuffle maybe not such a big deal but was a major bummer for me.
Beds comfortable Location fabulous Downside Computer doesn't work Pet friendly Can not honestly say that the food is great at the restaurant but there are great cafes nearby Streetcar stop just outside
If beige owned a hotel it would be the inaptly named Indigo. Did IHG Hotels forget this property? It’s not bad exactly: there are nondescript rooms with beds, little shampoo bottles, lights and ventilation. Lobby staff are pleasant if indifferent. Oh, the security sucks: no one looks up when guests (or non-guests?) enter and the back door lock is broken. Keycard function is disabled for the elevator. There are “amenities”: a small fitness room and sleepy restaurant. But no vibe, no lobby activity. Just a forlorn chain hotel in one of the most vibrant cities on Earth.
Elevator broken. No front desk staff and no one could find desk staff anywhere on property. No vouchers given, even though part of room rate. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. But o don’t know how a hotel can be run without management or attention to safety issues. Really unfortunate.
the worst experience I've had in a long time, I do not recommend it , we were badly treated, with treatment without tolerance to my family, indications of racism towards Hispanics, the management has a dictatorial regime to the workers.
Hotels has light bright rooms, with relatively comfortable beds, good lighting. Negatives - cannot open the windows. Hot water in the shower didn't work unless we called front desk, who called the engineer. He was great and got it working each time but a drag to have to call to get hot water flowing. Restaurant and bar still closed so no amenities on site and no bar fridge in rooms. Great location - and felt very safe.
I appreciated my quiet room facing the back with comfortable bed. The room and and bathroom were surprisingly spacious for a king room. The proximity to the street car stop is the main benefit. Lots of restaurants on Magazine Street are about a 25 walk away, less if you take the street car for part of the distance. I’m fully aware the hotel does not offer breakfast but given that the restaurant is closed right now it would be helpful to have muffins or bagels available.
right off a StreetCar stop - yay. comfy and clean rooms and bedding. My daughter LOVED the pebbled shower floor. no food options available in the hotel at the time... My only beef was maneuvering around a film crew and trying to get my car early in the morning from a parking lot right in back of the hotel (took a lonnnnng time)
Loved this hotel. Clean, comfy beds, fabulous shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location can't be beat. Will stay here again. Only downside, don't charge so much to park the cars. I know I could park on the street and it's free but I felt more comfortable with valet. 30.00 just seemed a little expensive. Like I said, I will be back and had a great time.
The room was very spacious and the bathroom was surprisingly luxurious. The toilet was behind a panel, adding additional privacy. The shower was large with very hot water. The furniture in the lobby was pretty shabby and the doors in the corridor are beat up but the beds are very comfy and we slept great! I prefer hotels on St Charles Ave because it’s so easy to jump on the streetcar. I would consider this hotel again.
