For the last number of years a small group of guys travel to different cities to attend an NFL game + enjoy the local fare. The French Quarters Suites was an excellent destination during our 5 day stay in New Orleans to see the Saints. There were 5 of us that were accomadated in 2 separate 2 bedroom apartments. Each...

Found the room to be very nice. Could use a little more comfy pillow. Bathroom is small but they are working on redoing them. Location is okay, had trouble getting United cab to show up - called 3 times and waited over 30 minutes before they showed. When returning after concert to the room had to flag down another cab...

I love this place. Really charming, amazing staff and great location. Rooms are spotless, everyone is so nice and courteous. I will stay here from now on when visiting New Orleans. It's also incredibly reasonable! Location is wonderful, right on the edge of the French Quarter, walking distance to Frenachmans street. The pool is great too. The staff was friendly...

I planned my brother's bachelor party and had a group of 12. We were able to book one of the townhouses, and with that number in my group it was pretty economical. When I planned the trip I was just looking for a place within stumbling distance of Bourbon street, but N. Rampart street where it is on really the...

Obviously you want the most for your money and that is what you will get at the French Quarter Inn and Suites. It is rare these days for average people to get treated like royalty anywhere but that is what we got at the French Quarter Inn. Dennis and staff are as proffesional as anyone in the business and for...

Just returned from New Orleans after a five night stay at this hotel, and can't say enough good about it. It fit the bill for me, anyways. Booking online: straightforward. (Saw the good reviews on tripadvisor). Check In: quick and easy, with an extra bonus of a kind lady on reception who gave me a free city map, plus pointed...

This place looks great from the front, it has a pretty courtyard and very cool pool. The room however not so much. Our bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. Old gross shower. I can't believe they charge so much for a place like this....

This place looks great from the front, it has a pretty courtyard and very cool pool. The room however was so gross we couldn't stay in that room! Old gross shower, rusted old toilet paper holder...I couldn't imagine using the toilet paper on body, hair all over the so called cleaned sheets, disgusting rusted or stained box spring, mold in...

I found this to be a clean, comfortable room in a very appealing location both reasonably accessible to the French Quarter and CBD and very close to the even more appealing (to me) Marigny and Frenchmen Street scenes. If you expect to spend a lot of time in the room, this place might not quite suit, but for my purposes...

Booked here for a couple of days some time ago and extended our stay for a week. A lovely hotel with a warm welcome for British jazz fan guests. Great value and interesting locality. Easy to find good food, good bars, interesting excursions and places to visit and great music. Fond memories and we'll be back soon!

Staying in Treme

Neighborhood Profile
Treme
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.
