I had a meeting at a hotel nearby. Since I'm diamond with Hilton, I decided to stay at this hotel. Great location if you want to wander around the French Quarter. Plenty of nearby restaurants. Located on a quiet street. Gym and internet were average. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff was wonderful. AC would cool but not as cool as I would have liked. Room with view is much larger than one without. Location was good. Carpets were vacuumed and room was clean but there were a couple of stains. Very nice staff

This Garden Inn is in a good position downtown to walk to the many venues Nola has to offer. Quiet and friendly staff makes it very good place to stay at for business or leisure. You can be on Bourbon in a 7-8 minute walk or Harrah's in 10.

We decided on a last minute cruise out of New Orleans and all of our favorite hotels were already booked. Additionally we needed a hotel that could accommodate three adults. Number one location, location, location. The hotel is 3 short blocks off of Canal so central to everything. As others have posted the lobby is on the 11th floor with...

The overall hotel and staff were nice beautiful view of the city from the pool. Room was not cleaned appropriately for a new guest. Easy access to the major landmarks by cab or a short walk. Also liked security of needing key to access elevator.

I like the location of this hotel, beds were comfortable and room was clean. Morning coffee was complimentary as well as internet which was a plus. I booked through booking.com and was given one price, but at check out price was more? I did valet park but still it didn't add up. Also, I spoke with the manager who assured...

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was only for one night but it offered so much comfort. The beds were comfy and the room was roomy. They offered complimentary tea, coffee and spa water. There was also complimentary sanitary napkins and tampons in the women's restroom. The staff was very nice. It does not offer complimentary breakfast but they...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
