Pro's: Location is relatively close to French Quarter. Internet is available and free. Rooms are spacious. Con's: Rooms are not very clean. The two elevators are slow resulting in long waits. The coffee offered during breakfast and in the lobby is very diluted, better to just skip it. Check-in service was not good, at no point during the check-in I...

We were there for the marathon. The hotel was in walking distance of everything. Here are some of the details from the trip that may help you: - You have to pay to park in the garage which is small and a short walk from the hotel - You likely won't be able to check in early. They did take...

Let me start be saying I loved the room. It has a kitchen and in room coffee and a separate bedroom. Our adult daughter and her friend stayed with us and used the sleeper sofa and a rollaway and there was plenty of room for us all. However . . . I had to ask 3 times for extra pillows...

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Staybridge Suites during your recent trip to New Orleans. We often receive comments about the size of rooms being spacious and large enough to host 4 adults. Our goal is to always provide exceptional service to our guests and it appears that we did not meet that expectation. I...

This hotel is very close to cruise ship terminal! My 13 y.o daughter and I walked to the cruise ship terminal from hotel. Very decent hotel. Felt very safe. Quiet. Had a breakfast room with wonderful breakfast items. Nice staff. My complaint has nothing to do with Staybridge Suites but with the "third party" that booked the room. I was...

Staybridge is just a few blocks from the French Quarter. We walked to Bourbon St. the first day we were there. I did not walk back. Quite a distance if you don't walk on a regular basis. Room was clean and we had a kitchen w/refrigerator, microwave and sink. Bathroom is small with just toilet and shower/tub. Sink and vanity...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
