We stayed here in a 2 bedroom on the 4th floor of the building next door to the one with the receptionists. It was a strange layout - the door opened to the stairs which led to the upstairs kitchen and bathroom. The two bedrooms were on either side of the stairs with the downstairs bathroom on the bottom left... More

I read some of the reviews after booking this hotel and became worried that we wouldn't enjoy our stay. The hotel is in a great location and it was pretty peaceful except our last night there but it was to be expected since it was during The Essence Festival. We booked a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom suite for 4 people. I... More

I booked a room for 6 people, 3 couples. The room we were given did not have a funcitoning A/C and the fire alarm was beeping. We addressed both problems and the reception easily handled both. One odd note is that they said they didn't have someone to change the battery in the fire detector so we had to get... More

Have stayed several times in different units. Love the character and unique configurations of the rooms. Most recent visit was in 1 bd/1 bath unit. Large living area and full kitchen space. Off street and quiet. Courtyard w/small pool and rooftop deck, close to FQ and CBD Staff attentive and friendly. Will stay there again.

This timeshare getaway was worth it's weight in gold. Although the property is a wee bit tired - it is in a great location and has all you need apartment style. The staff were very helpful as well. Recommend especial for value and location

This was our first time staying at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were super spacious and everything was clean. The bathroom floor tiles were a bit worn so they looked dirty. And the whirlpool tub is a definite throwback from days gone by, but we are shower people so it worked for us. The living room... More

My husband and I traveled to New Orleans for a reunion. Although this hotel is a bit quirky and funky, we loved it. We stayed for a week in unit 202, a two bedroom unit with a kitchen and a large, single bathroom with a spa tub/shower combo. The second bedroom had no windows, and so it was rather dark.... More

We stayed here a week as a timeshare swap. We had the penthouse. Let me first say, we had a great time, and enjoyed the stay. Now I can then say this place is not without its quirks. The penthouse has no windows in the kitchen or 2nd bed, but the living room and 1st bed have 2 or 1... More

Just 2 blocks from the French Quarter, no noise from drunken revelers and steps away from good food choices. Rooms are spacious, heat worked very well in winter and the brick walls reminded you that you are indeed in NOLA. Easy to walk to FQ and if you imbibe too much, it's a cheap $7 Uber ride back to your... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
