This was our first stay at the Harrah's New Orleans and it will be our last. Once we checked in, everything went downhill. We were not told room cleaning is not daily unless requested; we had no hair dryer, laundry bag in our room - requested 4 times over 3 days and only received the dryer last day. Requested fresh towels - never received. The toilet seat was broken and would spin around. Unable to checkout online because account access required a 3-digit pin. We had no idea about any 3-digit pin and neither did the front desk?? Our bill had a double charge that we caught - it was removed. The front desk did take a small amount off of our bill but that didn't compensate for all of the problems. The casino was so-so. It was like a refrigerator; the chairs were mostly extremely worn and torn; the machines had very sticky surfaces and some you could not play because the buttons were actually inoperable (probably due to beverages spilled into the area). The doors were so dirty the glass looked like it had not been cleaned recently. Such a shame as they are in the midst of finishing a new multi-million dollar spa hotel and unless they can fix the problems they currently have - I just don't see the new hotel representing the name as it should. Stay across the street at Lowes!

Harrah’s New Orleans is such a welcoming place! I love the area and how close everything is to the center of downtown. We were in time for the French quarter festival on April 11-14. The food, ambiance, and music are top tier. I’ll be back very soon

The Crescent City or the Big Easy as it's called can be a very exciting place. Architecture, the galleries, the antique shops, the french market, the museums and oh my God the food. What's not to like about New Orleans. It's a city full of history.

Horrible customer service. Rude front desk people. I am a VIP and could not get housekeeping over four days. I did not even have towels until the second night at 10 PM. The room service is awful. We could not even get coffe with half and half delivered to the room. The food choices are limited and very bad. Stay somewhere else with friendly service people.

It only has Expensive food options with, unfriendly employees. The parking was pricey when it should be and was free in the past(you are going to their casino to spend money) It is inconvenient to get to the casino area from the parking garage. Down, then up then around

The property definitely needs some love. Hoping it will only get better once everything is complete. Rooms are BEAT up. Had hot water running from both hot and cold at one point. Almost burned my hands using the lobby bathroom. A lot of staff is either rude or knows nothing. Asking questions, we felt like a bother. Emeril’s was great, service was too, so that’s hopeful. Ty, Diva, and Erin in the casino are always a pleasure, please hold onto them and have them train others in hospitality. If it wasn’t for the comped rooms, we’d stay elsewhere. There’s a lot of fabulous options out there. Sad, we’ve always loved this property but felt like we got the run around with everything. We still have questions in fact, we just assume that we will never get our answers.

I don't know if Harrah's/Ceaser's is so busy getting their new hotel built that they are forgetting their current base, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. We could not get housekeeping services on any of the three nights that we stayed, even though Wednesday there was a dirty linen cart parked in our hallway all night, and when we left our room Thursday morning, two housekeepers were talking in the room right next door! The coffee maker was broken, and repeated calls to get a replacement and fresh towels went unanswered. Calls to the operator or front desk were merely transferred back to housekeeping, even though I explained that no-one was picking up the phone. I used the concierge service on my phone and we were able to get someone to bring up a coffee maker and more towels Wednesday night, and then they brought them again twenty minutes later! The hallway stank of weed all night, strange for a non-smoking hotel! The desk staff were pretty much apathetic or unfriendly, strange since on previous visits, they actually acted happy to see you. I will say that the doormen and bag boys were kind and greeted us cordially every day. Even the floor care gentleman, buffing the floors one morning, went out of his way to acknowledge us. It is too bad that in a city known for its friendliness, that your first impression is going to be indifference to the guests.

This was a very expensive hotel. We stayed for 5 days. The weekend leading up to Fat Tuesday. No one cleaned our room or offered fresh linen. I was appalled. Even when I went to the front desk and nicely asked them to clean both rooms, they never came once. The elevators were down a few times as well. I was not impressed.

Wow!! Gotta love when a security guard on a power trip. Don the security guard came over to tell me to stop blowing bubbles. Yes I was blowing bubbles. I said "I'm sorry. Nobody had said anything before. I'll put them away." He rudely got closer into my personal space and barked "I'm telling you now!" I told him he was on a power trip and if he wanted to get his supervisor I would be happy to tell him as well. He got his supervisor Jonathan White. I repeated the situation and Don lied. There was a witness who said Don was lying. Jonathan White said I needed to leave. They started to walk me toward the door. Once we got past the security office, Jonathan tried to leave us but since Don had already proven to be a liar, I didn't want him to be the only witness to walking me off. I turned back to get Jonathan and he didn't see a problem with leaving a female alone with a lying male. He got louder but finally agreed to walk me out. But I still cannot believe I triggered a security guard by saying "I'm sorry. No one told me before. I'll put them away." This situation was unnecessarily escalated due to Don's bad attitude and power trip.
