. The room was tired and run down. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were like concrete blocks, but the worst part was the sheets that were blood stained!,there is no housekeeping service so no fresh towels. You need to call the front desk for toilet paper which they don’t answer, so you need to trudge down there to get it. They have no bottled water which is great when the hotel is in New Orleans with its 90 degree weather and you are hot and tired from walking around and this is what you return to after that? We had to leave to make our flight at 4:00 a.m. We were promised a bellman would be available but of course there wasn’t. The front desk was a ghost town other than a nonplussed desk clerk who didn’t answer the phone when we called from our room. After schlepping our luggage and we had a lot, she checked us out but couldn’t figure out our bill because there were incorrect charges. She finally got it right, I think. There was no from service for food though there is a sign by the elevator stating that room service and delivery from Manning is available. It isn’t! I could go on and on about this most unpleasant experience. I asked for the hotel manager’s phone number and they gave me a bogus telephone number. I tried calling the hotel directly and they kept hanging up on me. I bet the inmates at San Quentin live better than staying at this hotel. If I were given the choice between a jail cell and this hotel I would have to think twice! Stay here at your own peril!…
Great stay. Charmaine I think that's her name was very polite and helpful. We also ate at Ruth Chris it was Awesome. The rooms were spacious. Walk to Bourbon wasn't far at all. With it kind of raining we could walk down the escalator to the casino big help.
2 spent nights here. I'm a avid Caesers player and member. Previously diamond level. To start, the room had a brown stained mattress. The bathroom had an opened (presumed used) bar of soap in the shower. The drawer by the bed did not close and floated open by itself causing a painful hit to my leg in the middle of the night when I got up. It is obvious the care at this property has become lackluster. I messaged the resort through their official app, asked the digital concierge Ivy to have someone contact me, messaged them privately on Twitter and emailed them. It has been almost 3 days since. I am now staying at a different hotel in NOLA. They haven't said anything. Absolutely silent. My last stay at Caesers Palace is Vegas was also riddled with issues. I don't know what else to say about it. It's just been a poor experience. …
Very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness, service, and overall experience. Starbucks service horrible and we never stay at the Harrahs in New Orleans again. We saw beautiful pictures and were so excited to stay. Wow we were really disappointed. Our carpets in our "deluxe" room were filthy, doors dirty, shower molded, and couch very dirty. Really shocking given this was a special trip with my family from California, Oregon, and Houston!
We checked in on a Friday and checked out Sunday. There is no room service or maid service. We called for towels and it took 5 hours ( no exaggeration) to get them. We had to ask the concierge to ask and they didn’t have any downstairs to give anyone. This maybe something that management would consider since there is no maid service
The Good- My wife and I enjoyed the casino, great friendly staff , fun gaming and got to see the newly constructed Caesars Sportbook before in opened. Our room was clean and comfortable(I would say the best location in NOLA). Bellmen were very friendly & welcoming. Enjoyed Grand Isle Restaurant & Ruth Chris great service. The Bad-No Room Service , No House keeping, didn’t find out until I requested to have my room cleaned, that housekeeping couldn’t enter room only could deliver towels( we received towels that were stained and had hair on them on our first delivery ) - I understand Covid policy or short staff changes but I wish I had notice prior to making request. The gym had no towels or water. I requested it but never fulfilled request in gym in my 4 days on property. Why the resort fee- property has no resort amenities (could not use gym & Wi-Fi slow) The Ugly- the worst part of the visit was the front desk staff- not friendly or welcoming they made it seem like an inconvenience when I asked a question or made a request on a few occasions. I understand they have a tough job, all I ask is the be friendly and treat me like a customer. All things considered we had fun.…
This hotel is in a GREAT location in New Orleans. within walking distance to a lot of GREAT places to eat. Also not far from Bourbon St. Everyone was nice and pleasant. hotel is clean as was the hotel room. The only negative i had with the room was the toilet in our bathroom was loose and moved side to side. Spoke with the front desk a couple times about it but Maintenance never came and repaired during our stay.
The hotel was conveniently located and away from the chaos of Bourbon Street but within walking distance. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean but no room service. When you are going to charge the amount they do for a week stay, room service should be offered & the sheets changed at least once if not twice during a week. Front desk was nice but they expected you to get your towels & take back up to the room instead of having them delivered for you. Concierge was very nice & very helpful. Only bar/restaurant in hotel is a Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Mannings was a huge disappointment with their service. I was disappointed in the Casino as the games seemed older and not a great selection but I have to remember--it isn't Vegas.
As a person that has worked in the hospitality business in Las Vegas Nevada for more than 19 years, I was really disappointed with the customer service in this location. I always stayed in Cesars/Harrah's properties when we go on vacation and have never experience the lack of professionalism we experience in this location. First - at check in they have some type of attitude, we got there and wanted to check in early and they were letting us know that it was an extra charge for that, something we already knew, but it was not the information provided is the way they attitude in their tone of voice. Also, they were letting us know that during our stay, will not be housekeeping coming to our room unless we needed anything, and we have to call and request the service or what was needed, and not room service. (This information was not provided on the website). Second - When we got to the room the bathroom faucet was licking. I called and reported the issue. I took a nap and when I wake up two hours later, I ask my husband if they came to fix it and he said no. I went downstairs on my way to the casino and stop by the front desk to report the issue again. The lady looked at me and do not say anything. So, I proceed to tell her a situation. I asked her if she could please create another ticket to get this fix today or if another room was available. She proceeds to type on the computer and let me know that a ticket was already created. I explained to her to please follow up or submit another ticket. She was looking at me like I was annoying her and started typing again. Then, she stopped typing and straight just looked at me without speaking, I ask is that's all, and she said yes. Third - My husband needed another blanket, and we call to request that. We were waiting to see if someone will come to provided us with the blanket, but we have to go. So, on our way out the property, we stopped at the front desk to ask if someone could stop by our room and leave couple of blankets. The lady with a lot of attitudes say to us that they will not leave a couple of blankets, where I responded that a couple of blankets means two blankets. She looked at us and said OK. Is more negative experience to share about this first and last stay, but overall, we are very disappointed with this Harrah's location and did not expect this type of behavior from the employees. Never saw any managers around and the property did not have enough security.…
We stayed at Harrah's Hotel for 6 nights. We actually almost cancelled due to recent reviews that we read, but so glad that we didn't. It was a great stay in a big spacious room with a beautiful city view. I would give it a 4.5 if that were possible. The room was well appointed with a big soaking tub in the bathroom. There was a frig and coffee maker. While it is true that there is no daily housekeeping, you can get any needed towels or toiletries delivered to your room. The staff was exceedingly nice and the common areas of the hotel were clean and beautiful. Our room upon arrival was clean and nicely decorated. If you took a magnifying glass, yes, some of the decor is in need of a slight touch up, but nothing like what some reviews have said. Also, it is very easy to get to the casino from the hotel. The one thing lacking is available quick eats for a full breakfast directly in the hotel, but there are restaurants within a block or two and we also used grubhub. There is a little coffee bar near the lobby and a Starbucks in the casino. We would definitely stay here again. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt and give it a try. It's a perfect location to all that the French Quarter and surrounding areas have to offer, plus there is the casino which was a nice way to spend some time.…
