Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Great stay ... our room was on the alley and got very little sleep with the bar below and garbage pickup all night long. When we asked to be moved they were very accommodating. Keep in mind you are in one of the best locations in the French Quarter and it’s always noisy. They party all night . It’s what I expected when I booked so if you are looking for peace and quiet stay outside the French quarter . We had so much fun walking around . Everything they say about Bourbon St is true lol. I would definitely go back and stay at the quarter house. Hotel is dated with lots of charm . If you want new and modern stay somewhere else . The staff were awesome !

The place was dark and musty. Old scared uncomfortable furniture, RCI boosted about how nice the place was knowing its infested with mice and roaches. I researched after staying there and discovered this has been a problem there for many years. Recommend you not listen to RCI reps, but to the reviews written about this place.

Every room is different. Walking distance to the casino, the trolly, the cathedral and RiverWalk. However, a loud jazz club is below some but not all rooms. If that is a problem, check out your room. Ours was, but the bedroom was in the back of the unit and it did not bother us.

Balcony Suite 208 has a Jacuzzi tub! It is great to have a Jacuzzi tub in the Suite. Many of the Jacuzzi tubs have been replaced in other suites.I There is simply no better timeshare or apartment hotel for the money in NOLA than the Quarter House. At QH, you get beautifully furnished 1 or 2 bedroom apartments with bathrooms ( some with Jacuzzi tubs), a living room, free WiFi, a full kitchen (some with ovens), and a washer/dryer. There are even a few Suites with a Balcony for watching Parades or relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine! The Housekeeping Staff keeps the Quarter House exceptionally clean and pest free. The prompt and professional Maintenance Staff keeps everything in working order at the Quarter House. The Quarter House is an exceptionally safe and secure resort , i.e., unlike the other hotels in the area, Strangers can not enter the QH Complex without a key. One of the best things about the Quarter House is the location. It is within walking distance to Harah's, the Riverfront, Bourbon St., Decatur St., Royal St., Jackson Square, the French Market and Frenchmen Street.
