We have stayed here several times now and it just keeps getting better. The new owners are fantastic and we love what they have done with the place. We stayed in the suite which is really like getting 2 rooms for one price. A humungous pocket door divides the space into 2 very large rooms, if desired. They recently renovated... More

The place was fantastic!! Great room, great food, great hosts, good location, everything we expected and more. Short walk to the French Quarter, even shorter to Frenchmen Street, and perfect for walking in the Faubourg Marigny. Michelle, Bob, and Beck are the best hosts you can imagine and breakfast is really great every day. We stayed four nights.

The Elysian Fields Inn gets great reviews because it earns them! It takes up two floors of a large, vintage but updated New Orleans home. Michelle and Bob are exactly what you hope for in an innkeeper: friendly, knowledgeable and great cooks. We enjoyed their recommended list of bars, restaurants, and activities. The location is just outside the craziness of... More

From the moment we entered the Inn from the hot, humid streets of New Orleans we felt more than welcome! Both the hotel itself, which authentic looks and a very stylish, comfortable room, but mostly our excellent hosts, Michelle and Bob, made our stay unforgettable. It was them who advised us where and when to go to the Frenchmen Street... More

First of all, Bob and Michelle were not just awesome hosts, they were genuinely eager to help us enjoy their city. The Inn was extremely well kept with a very authentic New Orleans feel. The food was great. The location was great. We were a short walk from Frenchman's street as well as the lower French Quarter. Top to bottom... More

Elysian Fields Inn was fantastic. The home itself is very well-maintained, but has retained a lot of its charm and character. The ceilings are high, the rooms are a decent size, and the beds are very comfortable. Our room had a bath tub, and I think all rooms in this Inn have tubs. Very nice to see. Upon arriving, the... My husband and I stayed at the Elysian Fields Inn from July 15th - July 17th. We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday. We highly recommend this B&B, a great place to get away from life and enjoy the romance of New Orleans.

Michelle and Bob are incredible hosts! They waited outside for us to arrive and showed us around the house. It is beautifully decorated and our room (102) had just been renovated and my husband and I loved it! The bed was comfortable and the soap and shampoo in the bathroom smelled amazing! It's the little things that make me happy.... More

I stayed for a few days with a friend. The hosts Michelle and Bob are welcoming and informative and make great breakfasts. The location is great (near the action but away from the noise). The b&b is great - large, cool rooms - perfect for New Orleans.

We stayed 15 different places during our US trip. this was, without a doubt, the best place we stayed! Amazing hosts who were ready to give you tips about the city! Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
