Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

We got a good deal on the price through priceline where you let them pick your hotel to save some money. Would not do that again. Hotel looks amazing when you pull up to the valet parking. Then the valet tells you it is $45 bucks a night to park. Ouch! You might want to

It was interesting to see how an old building was converted to a hotel. Public spaces work, but do not pull you in where you want to spend more time in the lobby. Restaurant has a good breakfast selection at a very reasonable price. The location is good if you do not want to

We booked it because of the fact that art, cultural and historic galleries and museum are there. That proved to be correct. If you are looking for restaurants, bars and entertainment, they are a mile away. The hotel and restaurant are excellent as are the staff. The room was a

How much is valet parking?
Hi - I chose not to rent a car, but I had seen that Valet Parking was $45 a night. It was much more cost effective to Uber or Lyft everywhere - very hard to find parking around the French quarter, etc.

The St. Charles St. trolley is three blocks NW (5 minute walk) and the Canal St. Trolley is ten minutes walk to the NE. Because of how the river bends, this hotel is quite close to the SE corner of the French Quarter—10 minute walk. That includes the aquarium, insectarium, the end of Canal St, the casino, etc. it’s an additional seven minutes walking to Jackson Square.

yes. it's around the corner from the front desk and there are bellmen on duty to assist with this as well. we had no problems storing for our early arrival nor for our late departure.

There’s an airport shuttle that takes you all city centre hotels for reasonable rate. Much cheaper than a taxi. Not linked to hotel but from airport. Easy & good value. Can’t remember what is was - I just googled airport transfers.
