Arrival: The hotel is in a decent location, a walk to the French Quarter (but not in the FQ) but close to the convention center. Harrahs is about 3 blocks away. Parking is high even for New Orleans. It was $45 a night! Valet only and honestly that is ridiculous. The front desk was very nice. No issues. The room...

Location, location, location. This place is great. You are removed from all the stink and filth that is Bourbon St.. This hotel is in the middle of the cleaner, quieter warehouse district. It is surrounded by art galleries, bars and upscale restaurants. Our regular (sadly less divey now) Lucy's is across the street. Emeril has a few places around there...

Good first. The location was great--easy walking distance to my conference at the Hilton and a short walk to the French Quarter. Lots of good places to eat very close. The room was reasonably sized (with a big bathroom) and a comfortable bed. There's a mini fridge too. Internet was free and worked well. Check in and check out were...

I stayed here for four days while attending a conference at the Hilton Riverside. Room was clean and well appointed. Only drawbacks were that breakfast was not included, and there was a $10+ charge each night for wireless. As a Marriott member the wireless was free.

We recently stayed a Saturday night with two rooms booked for us and the kids. I love this hotel. The location is great and the area has lots to do, places to eat, or Uber/walk to the CBD or French Quarter. The lobby features lovely blown glass chandlers, interesting art pieces as well as a connected art gallery. Our room...

The room was bright, airy and very clean! The beds were so comfortable it was hard to get up! Omigosh! Some of the best sleep I've gotten in a long time! There's a small refrigerator in each room so you can keep your water, soda or beer nice and cold too! The concierge and front desk personnel were extremely nice...

We really enjoyed our visit to this hotel located in the New Orleans Warehouse / Art District. The area is rapidly becoming a must see... as many historic building renovations have been recently completed or are currently underway. We found it to be much more to our liking than previous stays in the CBD or French Quarter. The hotel staff...

We stayed here for a quick business trip. It was perfectly appropriate for a work trip. It is tucked away from the calamity of the French Quarter but it is an easy walk/uber away. There are lots of great restaurants close by. It is also only a couple of blocks from the WWII museum. The hotel is only a few...

We only spent one night here, but would definitely stay again. When we arrived we were treated well from the street to the front desk. Our room wasn't ready as we had arrived early. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A historic setting, contemporary style, and a unbeatable location near New Orleans' French Quarter and in the heart of the trendy food mecca of the Warehouse District: all of this and more elevates the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel to an unforgettable New Orleans experience. Our building is a former warehouse, dating from the early 20th century; we've preserved a sense of old-world elegance in our surroundings, while simultaneously infusing a thoroughly contemporary sense of convenience and art. Please note that our restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and we look forward to unveiling a stunning new restaurant to our guests in early 2015. For now, we recommend that our guests enjoy the many amazing New Orleans dining experiences within a short walking distance of our front doors, such as Cochon, Emeril's, Root, Tommy's Bistro, and many more. Our Navigators will be delighted to help you discover the best possible cuisine during your stay in New Orleans. ... more   less
