Beautiful southern bed and breakfast full of charm and unique life. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. We have stayed here twice and never been disappointed. In the historic Garden District off of St Charles Ave the city streetcar runs right in front and you can use it to get all over the city.
The house has picturesque vaulted ceilings and the room that I stayed in reminded me of the classic novels that I used to read as a child. They have continental breakfast and on Saturday there was a full breakfast. I had a wonderful time talking to the other guests that stayed there. They also have free Wi-Fi. You can step out the front door right onto the trolley. If you want to get a real picture of New Orleans stay at Hubbard mansion.
We stayed here for 2 days and were pleased with the hospitality, the cleanliness, and the location. The mansion and its interior are lovely - antiques abound. The breakfast was delicious. We felt safe and were surprised how quiet it was.
From the picturesque tree lined streets in the Garden District, to the charming sound of the St. Charles trolley car occasionally rolling by outside, to a peacefully luscious nights rest, Hubbard Mansion is in every sense in the quintessential location for a relaxing stay while visiting New Orleans. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in New Orleans this past fall and chose the Hubbard Mansion for our trip. We still regularly discuss and share our love of its exquisite interiors, and most importantly the welcome of its owner and keeper Mr. Don Hubbard. Don and Sheila greeted us with such warmth and imparted us with so much knowledge about the history of New Orleans and Louisiana, that we eagerly anticipate our next visit and stay here. We fell in love with New Orleans and part of that is due to our stay at the Hubbard Mansion. It is truly one of the most refined, beautiful and elegant spaces to stay in all of New Orleans.…
My friend and I stayed at the Hubbard Mansion before the Thanksgiving holiday. It was one of those memorable experiences that you wish so many others could share. The personal attention and family atmosphere were surprising but so welcome. Being privy to Mr. Hubbard's knowledge of the city and it's rich history alone was well worth the stay. Bottom line, we were treated so well, the mansion is conveniently located, the decor has extraordinary detail. We will stay there again.
