Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

I would really give this hotel 3.5 stars but I rounded up because of the service. We came with 2 of our teenage daughters for a visit to Tulane and since this was our first trip to New Orleans, we had to stay in or near the French quarter. First, the positives. The service is

This place is amazing. The whole interior is gorgeous and the staff is all incredibly friendly. Highly recommend for anyone trying to find the perfect spot to stay while visiting this city. An eclectic hotel for an eclectic city!

First off, very clean place & super friendly staff all around. Bed was plenty comfortable. The bathroom in our room with 2 queens beds had just a shower. We asked to a coffee maker in a room , which was free of charge. But there is also a coffee station in the lobby in the

This is my second time staying at the hotel. It’s simply amazing, the staff, decor and location are 5+ stars. You feel like royalty, and it’s location the middle of everything. Would come back again and again!

Stopped in for a drink and show. Girls are pretty and the burlesque was cool. Glass front windows and my friends went outside and became part of the show....great laughs!! The ladies stopped to chat after the show.

There is valet parking available, which can be a bit pricey. Honestly, if you don't have to have a car with you, I wouldn't. The hotel is located about two blocks from Bourbon Street (about a 5 min walk, if that) and also very close to other tourist spots (like Jackson Square, Garden District, etc.) You can always uber/lyft to places for a cheaper price than the valet parking price.

Great location, next to the Ritz (went there for brunch almost every day). It's on Canal St, a busy street. Also down the street is the Roosevelt Hotel, where the Sazerac bar is. Think walking down Market St in downtown San Francisco. No pool.
