Our experience was positive and we will return to this hotel. Location is great especially if you are going to a sporting event. Staff very helpful and willing to lookup info that they do not have readily available.

Four of us (2 couples) visited New Orleans for 4 nights, stayed at the Hyatt on Loyola. Got an excellent rate from Last Minute Travel. The hotel is a 15-miinute walk to the east side French Quarter. Loyola is a busy street but no street noise in the room. Parking was around the corner, $25/day. The room was clean, comfortable....

This hotel is hard to navigate. Enter into the lobby and then take two sets of elevators to reach the third floor and then walk half of the hotel to reach the elevators for room floors. Standing next to the elevators is a hotel employee to explain how the elevators work. A bit too high tech - it's elevator after...

This hotel has everything you could possibly imagine located inside. The restaurants and lounges are very trendy but way over priced. The hotel is located next to the Super Dome and Smoothie King Center. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. My only negative is that the lighting in the bathroom was dingy. I think the rooms...

The rooms are clean some. Good space, very good breakfast a big number of guests so you fell amusing. Staff is very cooperative. I try the hotel resturant for dinner and it was very good and affordable price and very near to city center and it is 15 min away from conventional center.

When I arrived, I had a long line in front of me, but as they opened all the counters, the check in process was super fast! Well done! The rooms are big, very clean and comfortable. If you return to the hotel at night, I suggest to take a taxi, as there aren't a lot of people walking in that...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

“Higher floors I'm sure provide a better view if you're on the Superdome side. It's a different kind of modified V shape layout hotel.”
