Beautiful home, beautiful artwork, beautiful staff gives one a beautiful beginning to their adventure to New Orleans. The Terrell House is conveniently located to both the French Quarter & Garden District. It is near St Charles street with its Trolley line and many restaurants. We easily walked to the WWII Museum and even to Cafe Du Monde. Our bedroom in...

As we entered New Orleans and found Magazine Street, our excitement increased looking for the Terrell House. Upon arrival, we were met by Arthur, the operations guru. He gave us a complete guided tour of the entire facility to include the recently renovated annex building. He then assisted in unloading our baggage from vehicle. We were the first occupants in...

The Terrell House is a beautiful property in the lower garden district. Ms Linda has taken adherence to detail to a new level - complete with freshly laundered and pressed linen placemats and napkins to go with china and antique silverware for the delicious breakfasts prepared by graduates of the Culinary Institute of America. Rooms are furnished with antiques and...

A very enjoyable stay to attend a wedding at the Terrell house. Accommodations and staff were superb as was the convenience of the location for walking to the downtown areas or to access the streetcar.

My daughter and her fiancé fell in love in New Orleans and thought it would be a great place to have their wedding since guests were coming from around the world. Miss Linda provided recommendations for the band and photographer. She along with her staff of Arthur, Terry, and chefs Luke and Alex made everything perfect. Dinner and brunch the...

The room, the Gold Suite, was beautiful, spotless, and decorated with careful attention to detail. I traveled with my mother, and the suite offered each of us privacy without the need to book separate rooms. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great. Everyone was friendly. We are already making plans to visit again next year. Thank you, Linda!

Loved our separate two bedroom cottage in the Creole House portion of Terrell House. Very comfortable, nicely decorated, high ceilings, spacious. Even had a small kitchen, fully equipped. Breakfast was nice and the staff was very accommodating. Owner Linda O'Brien provides exceptional and professional service. Terrell House is walking distance from unique local dining and shopping areas and parks. The...

Thank you for your kind review! I am glad that you had the opportunity to stay in the Creole House - it is one of my favorite because guests get to have the experience of an apartment atmosphere at a B&B. Glad to hear you got to enjoy Commander's Palace as well!

The service was exceptional as well as the property. I felt at home the moment I met them at the door. The room was full of amenities. Clean. Warm. Secure. It felt private and social all the same. I met some great folks from France at breakfast... and finished my coffee sitting in the courtyard... with a slight drizzle in...

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
