This is one of those unhelpful reviews in which my experience was not nearly as bad as some of the TA reviews I read before going, nor was it good enough to justify a review. I think the important thing with the Astor is to do your research. This is the corner of Bourbon and Canal, so don't expect perfect... More

Arrived at the hotel via car. We were informed of our storage options to park it ourselves or leave it with the hotel to have In and out privileges at $43.68/day. Unsure if we were going to be in and out, we opted for that service. We were taking to the 12th floor with my luggage by bellhop only to... More

I arrived around 10 PM on a Saturday night, so check-in was speedy. No long lines! Overall, the desk staff was pleasant and helpful at both check-in and check-out. The only issue I encountered was with the key-card system. I believe some electronic functioning part of the system was down, thus deactivating lots of people's key-cards. I was able to... More

Best service ever. Visited last year around the same time with a group of friend and it wasn't anything like this year. Monique was very professional in her duties. I hope that she will be there when I return next year. Keep up the good work Monique!!

The hotel was nice, location was great. Front desk lead Monique was incredible, and very knowledgeable of great attractions. She made sure my stay was unforgettable. I once stayed at this particular hotel and the service could not compare to that of my last visit, I will definitely consider the Crown Plaza every time I'm in the New Orleans area.

I love NOLA! And this hotel goes up there with one of the best. Right up on the corner of bourbon street was perfect. We barely heard noise from the streets. We had a massive king room. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Service was always pleasant every time we walked in and out of the hotel. Would definitely stay... More

This hotel has food and bad. The good: bed bug free (our mattress was wrapped), cleaning staff, concierge. The bad: reception ( need more friendly staff), lobby (outdated and uncomfortable seating) front door staff. Got a Hotwire deal...guess it was worth what I paid...

We first arrived at this Hotel at around 8:30 PM on a Friday night for check in, only to stand in line for 45 minutes. There were only 2 people working the desk, and they would just walk into the back office and leave everyone standing there waiting. We were finally able to speak with someone at the front desk,... Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
