My husband and I have been to Nola a few times in the last few years and every time we come we stay at The Royal St Charles. From the first time we stayed we loved it. Very modern and updated and comfortable. We always get a room with a balcony and enjoy sitting out there at night. We had...

I was happy with the Royal St. Charles. From the outside the hotel might not seem like the best but my room was very clean and the accommodations were nice. I had a nice corner room with a view of the street on the 5th floor. The street car stops at the hotel, which is very convenient, however it can...

This hotel is located in a great location for seeing the best of New Orleans. However, the room is tiny. Oddly, the pillows in the room are HUUUUGE!! I had to sleep on a rolled up towel because the pillows were so abnormally large.

the rooms were small, but very clean and well kept. Was close to everything in walking distance or trolley ride away. Everyone was very helpful when we needed something. Couldn't get our TV to come on and the maintenance man came up right away and fix it in 2 seconds. Great service.

The service at the front desk in the daytime was not always positive. Certain staff was not accommodating. Appeared to be bother by guest asking questions. Request to speak to the manager on duty, but not there.

This hotel had the worst customer service that i ever experienced! Staff was very rude and didnt recognize and fix issues with hotel and the reservation. We were first put into a room that had so much water in the carpet that you could make a puddle from it

Dear Lbiiosubuckeye - I sincerely apologize for what clearly is an unacceptable experience. I investigated and found that we had shampooed several rooms' carpet and they were released back into inventory before the needed time to dry. While we place proactive upkeep at the top of our priority list to ensure a clean comfortable stay, we clearly created the opposite...

Great hotel, centrally located for restaurants, public transportation, or walking. Used Uber & Lyft services; driver was available within 3-5 minutes. Extremely nice staff, especially Raquel at the front desk; concierge was also informative and provided great suggestions for restaurants and for day and night activities

This is a very modern hotel close to all of the downtown sights that you will want to see. Very clean and very helpful staff. They allowed us to store our luggage there after we returned from a cruise and had a few hours to kill in New Orleans. Overall good experience.

The stay was ok except the non-windows and the shortage of towels. Tried to change the room, however, I was told that I couldn't due to an upgraded fee. I would have thought as a first time guest, traveling alone and staying for a week that I would feel welcomed with an upgrade. Overall, it was good including location.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
