Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

The only decent thing about the hotel was the location and the coffee bar inside. The $15 a day fee(for beads, king cake and drinks) we got drink tickets for one day, and only saw King cake out one time. We stayed during the “hurricane days” so maybe that’s why they didn’t have what we ended up charged for(you cannot opt out) it was not disclosed until you got to the front desk on a sign, they applied the fee to 3 of the 5 nights we were there? Upon leaving we saw the break down and never received beads we obviously paid for. The shower soap was empty, the shampoo was empty and the bedding skirt was water damaged, we pulled it off. I dropped my phone behind the bed stand and pulled out to see dirt and a toy left by someone else! Last day checking to make sure we had everything found someone’s flip flop and make up sponge under the bed!! When was the last time this place was cleaned?! We didn’t spend much time in the room, and will not return.

Let me start with saying the hotel was very nice and the staff was lovely. The room was fairly quiet, but there was some basic cleaning that needs done. Doubtful the sprinklers would work since they are caked full of dust. The street car runs right in front of this hotel. Sounded like thunder when it did. Hotel is a nice walk from anything you want to see in the French quarter. My only complaint was with the parking company that has a kiosk in the hotel. Avoid them at all costs! I was told 15 minutes to retrieve my truck when I would need it. Sent for my truck with about 20 minutes walk left, coming back from shopping. When I arrived at the hotel, not a soul in site. I asked the hotel if they could call someone. They pushed a button and a kid sauntered out of a break room. He asked me “what you want” ? I told him I asked for my car over 20 minutes ago! He then picked up a phone that was sitting on the kiosk and told me he never got the message. Yeah, hard to do your job, in the break room! He then told me it would be another half hour to get my truck. I told him I’d walk and get it myself. He called the garage and told them I was on my way. After walking to the garage. I requested my truck. No one moved for 30 minutes. Finally, a guy walked out of a room full of people and he retrieved my truck. It was a similar experience when I needed my truck to leave on my final day. Same kid, had no care in the world to do his job. The hotel should rethink who they allow in their hotel as it reflects poorly on them as well

I am a group leader that brought 47 people to this location. You know that you are in an authentic New Orleans hotel when you pick up your room keys and are offered a taste of King Cake. The staff was very accommodating, and the location is unbeatable! It's deep in the heart of the French Quater, that even has a trolley stop outside its hotel.
