Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

My wife and I stayed here for, believe it or not, a week and, for the most part, enjoyed it. The room was quite nice and clean, even though our view was of another building. It had a very nice TV and a clean, albeit small, bathroom. Most of the staff was quite helpful in

Simply put, the best hotel we've stayed in in this city. Extremely quiet and comfortable, with everything provided for a great stay. Located one block off Canal in the business district, a two minute walk to the French Quarter. Highly recommended!

I stayed here prob 10 years ago and it was loving. This time not so much ... the room is very plain and looks totally cheap , the bathroom door handle fell off in our hand. And after coming back from an evening out .. no hot water! I would not recommend this hotel. I will say we

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Concierge was great with restaurant recommendations and booking excursions. Room was very private and comfortable with a nice view over the French Quarter. We were one block to the trolley cars and only 2 or 3 blocks from the beginning

My husband and I stayed here in February 2019, during the earlier part of carnival season (Mardi Gras). Problems started at check in; we booked a King room, and were told that our room was the last one. When we arrived, it was clearly one queen bed, and the space was a little

Only a waif can sit on this toilet and not have the TP in their side. And even a small person, particularly a right handed one, cannot conveniently remain seated and access the rolls. The odd thing is that the bathroom is pretty big ... this is just poor design, not lack of space.

Definitely family friendly. The hotel has a large Jenga game in the sitting area (which is quite fun). Most kids also like hamburgers so right around the corner is Goldbergs (which was recommend by our hotel consieur, Thaddieus) that is great. You are in a very nice and safe area.
