This is a great hotel in the downtown area, only 2 blocks from the French Qtr and lots and lots of fabulous restaurants around for an easy walk. Rooms were nice, clean with great a/c. The coffee stand, restaurant, bar and lobby was very ample and made it easy to sit and visit with friends and family.

We had a wonderful one night stay! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. The location is one block from the quarter - close but away from the noise. The restaurant makes a delicious Bloody Mary and great breakfast. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful staff, comfortable room, great bar! My friend was injured in a fall the first day there, & the staff was so helpful & solicitous. We were supplied with a wheelchair & so many offers for help! Every person on the staff was friendly & helpful. Highly recommend! Our only disappointment was the bread on the shrimp po-boy we ordered was so dry it was brittle! The gumbo was amazing! We had a great stay in spite of my friend’s injury.

This hotel is definitely not worth the almost US$300 per night I paid for. Rooms are mediocre and slightly rundown; showers are terrible with low water pressure; no lounge for elite members; i don't think this is even 4-star hotel. I switched to JW Marriott for the last night for $50+ more-so much nicer!

Loved the hotel. Was worried based on reviews I had read. Room was amazing (19th floor). Restaurant was wonderful. Only caveat was valet parking was slow and could not order room service in advance (was leaving Sunday morning and wanted breakfast delivered to room).

It is a nice hotel with an excellent staff. The rooms are a little dated, and we were disappointed that they lacked specific amenities like Q-tips and robes. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. Our room and floor were pretty quiet, which was nice. I believe the old walls offer soundproofing, which you need in a loud city like New Orleans.

I had previously made reservations months ago for 4 nights because I didn’t have my flight information yet. After booking my flights, I realized I only needed to be there for 3 nights. It wouldn’t let me change it in the app without straight up canceling, so I called them up and they were able to help me out at the front desk. Eventually, I realized I would need 3 more nights prior to my original reservation, so I made a separate reservation. We checked in for my first reservation, a Partial FQ View Room w/ King Bed, on Monday morning around 9am. They were able to get us into a room, which was very helpful as I had to run to the Convention Center and X had to work. Water was leaking from the room above us, so they had to move us. We had a new room by 10am, which was amazing. The room was very big and comfortable, with a bit of wear and tear. Hot water took a long time to run in the shower, so we had to start the shower 15 minutes earlier. We moved to our second reservation Thursday morning, and I had booked a Cozy Guest Room w/ Queen Bed. This room was indeed cozy and I’m not completely sure it was a Queen bed. There is no fridge in this room, so if that’s a deal breaker for you, do not book this room. Once again, they were able to get us into a room at 9am, which was very much appreciated. The hot water in this room was … poor. The first night was fine. The second night it was hit or miss. By the last night, we were taking room temperature showers. Since it was our last night, we just sucked it up, but if it was the first night I definitely would’ve asked for a room change. Overall, the Renaissance Hotel New Orleans Pere Marquette was a decent hotel. It’s close enough to the FQ that we were able to walk over in the mornings and evenings for meals, but I do think I prefer the Courtyard New Orleans Downtown Near the French Quarter in terms of location and hot water quality. Rates during the week were very affordable but got pretty steep during the weekend.

Hotel was just okay. We prepaid, about $300 for one night. Hotel has no Bonvoy lounge, the coffeeshop was out of mocha, and their creamers are little ones like you’d get at a diner, rather than pitchers like you would normally try at a real coffee shot. Room was pretty small. No bathrobes and only three bath towels. Not awful, but probably would just stay at a non-Marriott property next time I’m in town. Could probably get a better location and amenities for lower price. Highlight was the bed itself and the blankets. Could have used extra pillows.

Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars, Room was very basic and very tired, bathroom had a water mark by toilet which stayed there for the full 6 days. says coffee facilities provided- only if housekeeping give you the supplies, no milk or sugar topped up so unless you like black coffee and no sugar you will be disappointed. Reception staff lacking, the only decent receptionist was the Lady who was on shift early, the 2 young girls who took over were more interested in chatting then actually helping guests. for a solo traveller this was very frustrating. As for the other facilities, no restaurant more of a café, but food and service was very good, Bar not greatly stocked, but Bar man a gem, friendly and can make most drinks if he doesn't have the liquor he will make you a drink as close as he can. But most frustrating took $250 off my credit card for security deposit and 14 days later still not released and have not responded to my messages to ask why. Would not stay here again and would not advise anyone to stay here.
