This hotel has a Great location and friendly staff but costly parking. You must park at a private lot that cost about 30.00 a night. The hotel no parking of their own! Our room was clean but we had no wash cloths. Rooms were extremely small But this hotel is located close to cruise line departure areas and some great restaurants are within walking distance.
We usually love this chain. Not this time. First the good. Very close to train station. Staff is very friendly. Our handicap bathroom was very large and clean. A/C worked great. Now the bad. Directional signs to the room had us going down stairs on the floor to our room. Does not work with wife’s mobility scooter. Went back to get another room but they said we went the wrong way!? There was a ramp but no sign. Small room with single small window and shades that did not work. Bathroom does not have any ventilation. When we went out to get dinner the door did not lock. Apparently the mechanism needs to be set to lock and unlock. Did not understand that one because the maintenance man who came to deal with the lock could not speak English. I hope the morning breakfast and the cinnamon rolls will improve my opinion.…
The room was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Staff was attentive, extremely nice and responded immediately to any concerns. The exercise area was well equipped and clean. Shower did have low pressure but this wasn’t a big deal for us.
I am very impressed with how comfortable & relaxed most everyone made us feel. I appreciate how helpful they were with our requests. The people in each department I interacted with treated me like a friend. Feeling at home is the best amenity any hotel can offer. The rooms are very clean & include a mini-fridge & a microwave. We couldn’t hear outside noises or neighboring room sounds. For that matter, we couldn’t hear the streetcar when braking right outside the front door. I would definitely recommend staying here & will again.
The primary purpose for our visit was to see the WW2 museum and this was only a block away! The free breakfast is really good...love the cinnamon rolls! The room was very small, but we were not lounging in the room all day! Every staff member that we met were very friendly and helpful! Very close to a streetcar stop! My few complaints were that we had no shower curtain and had to go to the front desk to get one (after arriving late). The TV needed to be repaired or replaced.
Staff was friendly, morning breakfast was good, and lobby guest computers worked well. But not much else good to say. There was low priority on cleanliness. Though their policy is stated in the elevator (no rooms cleaned for guests staying less than 7 days), we should have received a modicum of service for 4 people in a room for 6 days. We would up requesting toilet tissue and towels a couple of times and giving our full garbage can to housekeeping. We were promised some service on the 5th day but it never happened. Very frustrating. Thermostat not working well in our room and I found myself fixing the toilet seat in lobby restroom. No towels or water in the fitness room for 3, maybe 4, days in a row. Proximity to the French Quarter is reasonable, about a 15 minute walk. Pick up the streetcar a block away on Carondelet. The stop coming back from the quarter is a stone's throw away. Good breakfast, with 3 hot choices plus oatmeal, cereals, fruit, yogurt. Though the pancake maker was not working. Good coffee.…
I've organised 2 group bookings (for Fencetech Exhibition and IEEE / PES Exhibition) with this hotel and have to say that I was fully satisfied. With the communication of the staff, flexibility, accommodation and also - short distance from the New Orleans exhibition centre. Will definitely book with this hotel in the future!
Tried to get a refund on a stay at this hotel and i only could get a 50% refunded. They are a not nice hotel and will not recommend them. I also did research and it is not meant for non-Barbie people.
Loved the hotel! Thank you Tyneisha from the front desk for making our trip a memorable experience. You provided the best customer service and our group really appreciates you! Hotel rooms were nice..and lobby was well maintained and clean. Wonderful experience..reccomend you stay at this hotel!
I stayed 5 nights for a conference, my room was a shoebox on the ground floor. The small room I might have dealt with but a long stay made it tougher. The fact that the fixed shampoo and conditioner in the shower were completely empty when I arrived showed a lack of attention. I did have a skinny desk but it wouldn't fit my laptop. The room was mostly clean but not quite. The trolley car drove by all hours of the night and was really very loud, I thought I was very near an airport the first time. I have to admit the staff was nice about everything and helpful. The lone person working the morning breakfast was overwhelmed with guests and many items weren't available at least when I was there. I've stayed in NOLA many times and realize the hotel situation is different in this town but I will look to another hotel for my next visit. IHG needs to take a look at this hotel also.…
