This was a perfect place to stay for a couple days before our cruise and to enjoy the French Quarter Fest. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs, and the hotel had all the amenities we needed. The hotel is also in a great location -- right near the WWII memorial, and there are several good places...

Just to note the front staff helped find me a room close to the elevator on check in. There was no close room, so she kept my bag and found something later and let me know! Also excellent service from Ursula for breakfast...big smile and service appreciated!

This hotel is walking distance from several great restaurants and the Howlin' Wolf (which has great live shows from time to time). Friendly staff and clean, well maintained rooms made this stay very pleasant.

I was on a business trip and found the location extremely close to the convention center. The front desk and the door guys were great and helpful. The only thing, although small was I would not receive shampoo or conditioner in my room, when it was cleaned. That asside, you are only a $7 Uber ride to Frenchman Street and...

We stayed the week before Jazzfest and it was full of business conferences, but not enough to make it unbearable. Good location because it is right on the outer corner of the French quarter. Check in was seamless. room was very accommodating, not too fancy nor understated.

I would not return to this hotel. For the price we paid, I would expect much better facilities and service. We had two rooms and I had asked for the room across the way, was promised twice that day and finally I gave up. I then requested any room available that was ready and clean on that floor and they...

The Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center is easy to get to off of I10. Really nice hotel arsthetically! A brisk walk to French Quarter but well worth it with efficient Uber service! Valet service and room service was first-rate. They were knowledgeable about the city and they were very pleasant!

I like staying at this place for Mardi Gras balls, you can walk to the Convention Center, no need for a taxi. If you have an issue like we did, the front desk is very helpful in correcting the problem, Very friendly staff front desk and restaurant staff gets a 10 plus for customer service.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Maid service was sufficient, nothing out of the ordinary. The price seemed a little high but I think it is all about being located in New Orleans. The French Quarter is a walkable distance from the hotel, guessing about 3/4-1 mile. Although, after walking all...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
