We stayed here 4 nights to get away and relax. The pool is beautiful and Jess and Charles always make sure you have everything you need. NOLA is mostly shut down during COVID-19, but the inn has food options close and a fabulous pool to relax in.

We have visited NOLA over 50 times and have stayed in many areas of the city, the quarter, uptown, warehouse district, Margny, and the Bywater. But even with all our visits we still occasionally find a pearl. Green House Inn is truly a pearl. A wonderful oasis. Location – It is surprising how well placed the green house inn. You are two blocks from the St. Charles streetcar. Two blocks from the WWII entrance. Four blocks from Julia St art studios. Within easy walking distance is Emerils, Emerils demonico, Satsuma Café, Cochon & Butcher, and Mr. Ed’s. There is a Rouse’s about four blocks away if you need to stock up. You can walk Magazine street right out the front door. Just about a mile up Magazine is Parasol’s, which has a killer roast beef Poboy. Now if your coming to NOLA to experience the big party life of Bourbon this is most likely isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience the European NOLA lifestyle, this is a good place to base yourself. There are plenty of drink and food options, all within walking distance or if you prefer, there are the jump bikes. Rooms – Old world style and décor. Not overly fancy but appointed with what you need. Bed is comfortable and soft. There was plenty of storage with a closet in our room. Don’t expect high end furniture, room are more like NOLA style, a little worn but style and quality. There were plenty of outlets, clock, TV, desk, etc. There was a mini-frig in our room, very handy for all the “extra” food you will acquire as you explore the area. They provide robes and towels for the pool area. Facility – parking onsite! The lobby area is quant but with a large dining table for guests to enjoy coffee and a light breakfast (a little more than a continental but less than a full service breakfast, although I would recommend planning to use that meal as an opportunity to visit a local eatery). Activities center around the pool area and the hot tub. Both of which are wonderful and relaxing. A mini-tropical oasis, 50 feet from the busy street. There are several tables and lounge chairs, although with all the palms you will have more shade than sun. There is gated access to both the parking area and to the house. Service – Your hosts are very nice people and while not being overly intrusive, they are there to help if you need it. There were multiple workers onsite most of the time and everyone was willing to help.

Wow, we loved it here! Definitely want to come back! We stayed here on our cross country road trip and it fit our needs perfectly. We needed a place that would allow dogs and a spot to park our car (full of all our belongings) in a safe place. They have gated parking alongside the inn and they allowed our golden doodle to stay for about $35 of a pet fee, which is pretty standard. Aside from meeting our basic needs, it’s perfectly situated between the Garden District and the French Quarter so we walked everywhere; the backyard is a green oasis and the hot tub was so relaxing; and Jesse and Frank gave us tons of recommendations, even for spots along our road trip to the west of New Orleans. They were so fun to talk to. The breakfast is continental. The rooms are pretty basic but we weren’t coming to New Orleans to sit in the room all day! The bed was huge and comfy and that’s all that matters to me about a room! And the house itself is so cool to stay in, with high ceilings and antique furnishings. We felt totally at home and relaxed and I just wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a very comfortable stay at Green House inn, the beds were comfortable and the location was excellent. We could pretty much walk 5 to 10 minutes to watch any of the parades during Mardi Gras. It is a bit far, a couple of miles, from Bourbon street and the french quarters: but if you enjoy walking even that is pretty walkable

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a quick trip in the city - it was perfect to have a peaceful place to relax and regroup from all the activities happening. The Apartment was perfect because it had a full kitchen, living room, patio, private access, and (my favorite) an incredible towel warmer for your shower towels. The place was clean, had so much room, and the bed was extremely comfortable. In the morning, we were able to have breakfast & coffee - all while being able to head over to the hot tub - talk about an incredible way to start your morning! The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. I highly reccommend this place - I will be back!
