Had the best time at the Greenhouse Inn . My husband kept saying that I had picked the perfect place . Everyone was wonderful , Jesse, Franck , Felicita and we were really sad to learn that the inn would be closing at the end of July as we would have made this our home from home in New Orleans . Happy retirement to Jesse and best of luck to the entire crew. We are truly grateful that we got to stay there.
We LOVED our time staying at the Green House Inn and will def return. First of all the house is beautiful. Frank the Innkeeper keeps the kitchenette stocked with breakfast items and snacks (yogurt, popcorn, granola bars, OJ. Theres always candy, cookies, nuts, fresh fruit and muffins out as you pass through the main house. Outside was so lush and green. There was plenty of space if you wanted to sunbathe (clothing optional) or if you wanted to rest with some shade. The hot tub was perfect, not too hot. They also had sunscreen and bug spray available to use. Our room (birds of paradise) was nice and comfortable. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend you bring an eye mask and earplugs as there are blinds but it can get bright in the morning. And with all the greenery around there are some song birds that start up early. I was able to sleep thru it all most days. Check in was easy and we were able to stow our luggage after we check out easily. There is a cute coffee shop next door, a bar just across the street and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The streetcar is an easy few blocks from the Inn. I'm telling all my friends to book here. We would love to come back!…
We booked The Green House Inn for our out-of-town wedding party members and got ready on the day of the wedding on the property. From the gorgeous pool area, to the quaint and comfy rooms, to the amazing staff members who were so hospitable and kind, we could not have dreamt of a better place to get ready, relax, and visit throughout our wedding weekend. The Green House Inn is near the buzz of downtown, but far enough away to be an oasis on Magazine Street. Jesse, Christine, Frank, Charles, and Felicita were so helpful and we felt at home the whole time. I highly recommend The Green House Inn for anyone looking to book for their wedding party.
The Green House Inn was a wonderful to spend with the wife. Plenty of food down Magazine street and never once felt like the area wasn’t secure. Pool wasn’t heated but that didn’t bother us. The hot tub was a great place to meet fellow guests and the owners and care givers of the house were wonderful to work with. We had a late departure and they let us leave our bags in a secure area, extra towels if we wanted to lay out before we left, and great conversations and about local Nola life. The WW2 museum is a 5 minute walk and we wish we had longer to walk around. We can’t say anything bad about our stay at Green House and wish we could stay longer. Remember, pool and hot tub are clothing optional and everyone who stays there is 100% respectful and polite.
I have been here twice and I am already booked for next year!! This place is everything and more for a adult getaway --a weekend girl trip; a week vacation or a last minute trip just to relax-- No picture can even come close to the beautiful tropical pool/hot tub area -- which is open 24/7. Breakfast food is offered 24/7 -- fresh coffee every morning --- even a microwave to heat up leftovers. They offer free (yes FREE) fenced parking -- with security cameras -I have stayed solo and felt perfectly safe. Many places are within walking distance; the inn keepers are good resources for suggestions regarding dining and places not to miss while in NOLA. Jesse; Christine and Charles are excellent inn keepers --
I visited friends in New Orleans and Houston in June. Was my first trip post-pandemic. Decided to make the Green House Inn my base of operations. Jesse and Christine could not have been nicer, even doing my laundry at no charge near the end of my 10-day stay. Christine was incredibly attentive to my needs. Grounds are beautiful. Pool area/hot tub were lovely, although guests occasionally got a little loud at night. Parking in a secure lot always available right on premises. My only complaint is that housekeeping was uneven. My room did not get made up every day, in part due to pandemic restrictions. When I approached housekeepers directly about getting towels, etc., they froze. Am I really that scary? Overall, however, I had a really nice stay here.
Loved the relaxed vibe of this place. Coming from the desert southwest we fell in love with the greenery. Jesse and staff are excellent and all the guests are like instant friends or at least they were for us. Loved the location and easy walking to restaurants.
Our third stay. Wonderful as always. Jesse, Christine, and Charles were so helpful. We felt at home. The pool is beautiful. We love the location. Lots of great bars & restaurants within walking distance. Can't wait to visit New Orleans again. We won't stay anywhere else!
We visit New Orleans very often. We always stay on Bourbon Street or Canal Street, in upscale hotels. A friend recommend the Green House Inn and are we glad that we tried it. This B & B is unreal. It has so much character and is beautiful. Well kept and immaculate. The owner and employees treat you as family. They treat you with dignity and respect. Ohh, forgot to mention pool area. You will not find many resorts with a more beautiful pool area. We have found a new home for our visits to New Orleans. Try it and I feel you will agree.
This was our 2nd visit to the Green House Inn, & we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We love the location, close to streetcar, shopping, restaurants, WWII Museum, & Mardi Gras World, just to name a few. The bed was very comfortable, & we feel at home there. We also loved how welcome our amiable pup was. The garden is a relaxing oasis, with pool, relaxing hot tub & lots of soothing subtropical foliage. Jesse is a helpful & congenial host, & Christine handled our reservations efficiently. All of our interactions were with Jesse & Christine, & they both have lots to offer. We are delighted to see New Orleans & the Green House returning to normal! We’ll be back!
