You know I am reluctant to write this review. I don't want to give the secret of this place away. But the owner is a great person and has always gone above and beyond to make every stay special. Jesse the owner and Frank the Inn Keeper are by far the most professional and personable people I have ever dealt... More

Well run, nicely located, small, intimate, and refined. Although the clientele are quiet, the walls, floors, doors, and traffic are definitely not. And don't be surprised if the person next to you in the hot tub did not bring his swim suit.

I saw in the nude, the blue world under water quiet and surreal. I rose to the surface to the sound of the pool's waterfalls. I was alone and felt like this was MY little oasis. And although I would encounter Frank, the helpful innkeep and several nice guests, it would feel like "my" place for the entire stay. I... More

Beautiful old house built in the 1800's with more recent remodelling. Tasteful and seemless complementary mixture of old and new. Over the course of nine days we stayed in two different rooms and both were unique and lovely. I love the authenticity of the house. Old wooden floors, narrow staircase, beautiful antiques, original family photos of years gone by. Outside... More

The Green House Inn is a nice bed and breakfast in a great location with good rates. The property is an old Victorian style home with a beautiful garden area. The pool while in the great setting had several leaves floating which made it not quite as inviting. But the room, breakfast, and hospitality more than made up for the... More

Hello LEB1952, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on TripAdvisor! We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! The leaves from our verdant garden and tropical bamboo sometimes do get ahead of us, finding their way into the pool, and for this I apologize. We would love to have you stay with us... More

The Greenhouse Inn is a beautiful property. It boasts eclectic decor with plenty of character & feels like a home away fr home. It has an outside pool & hot tub tranquilly surrounded by lush greenery. It is conveniently located just 3 blocks from the St. Charles streetcar on Magazine St. The Inn is a 10 min. streetcar ride from... More

A three story house with good sized rooms. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Breakfast is included and gives guests a chance to swap stories around the large table. A pool area with a spa gives you a chance to it and relax in this busy city. easy walking distance to good restaurants and the Business and... More

When you think of New Orleans you think French Quarter, night life, noise, drinking, more noise. If you're like us, that stuff is ok but not 24/7. We found a quiet, tropical oasis at the Green House Inn. It's the best of both worlds. Their property is a lush green, quite paradise surrounding a beautiful clothing optional pool and hot... More

As a travel agent, it happened a number of times that I got asked from my customers to arrange a journey in NOLA during their on the road trips accross the USA, so I finally decided to go have my first time ever in this wonderful city. I found this b&b on google and the beauty of the house itself... More

We stayed in the "Bird of Paradise room" in October. Booked this B and B as liked the look of the pool area, and thought it would be a great place to relax. We were not disappointed and really enjoyed chilling around the pool after a late night out in the French quarter. The bed was comfortable, and there was... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
