This hotel was very good. Location to the area we wanted to see was good. We were there for the Jazz Fest in the French Quarter. Room was clean and welcoming. Air Conditioning was great. Staff were friendly especially at the breakfast. Breakfast and evening snack were free, what they had to offer was above what you expected. No complaints...

My daughter and I stayed at this Drury Inn for three nights and found it to be very nicely decorated, very nicely maintained, conveniently located and had cordial staff. There was some minor construction going on in the lobby (the side entrance), however I don't feel that took anything away from our stay. Our room was very large, immaculately clean...

We were here for 3 days on our first visit to New Orleans. The hotel is an old building built in the early 20th century. I believe it used to be the electric company. Drury saved it from demolition. The lobby which is still a work in progress has the original old wrought iron staircase. Our room, with a king...

The hotel was easy to find for first timers to the city and valet parking worked fine. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the French Quarter. Upon arrival I was a surprised at how dark the reception area was with ongoing construction work taking place. The valet/bell hop guy took our suitcase from the car to the reception...

Sorry about the Noise! In addition to lobby construction welcoming you with volume, I am sorry for the location of your room; with the busy spring break weekend, we would have been better placing you on the 7th or 8th floor. Please also know that the lack of variety in evening food has been addressed as we started a new...

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights each before and after my Caribbean cruise. Overall it's a very nice stay. The rooms were big enough for us with good wifi speed. We had free long distance to Canada for 15 minutes per stay. The hotel also offered 3 free drinks per day during happy hour in addition to the snacks....

We went with another family, they had a room on 3rd floor and we had a suite on 6th floor. Both rooms were clean. The work out room was small and a disappointment to our sons but the pool was very nice and was used in the evening after a day of sightseeing. The staff was wonderful, Daniel in the...

Although this is located further from the French Quarter then we initial thought - it was well worth the longer walk! Rooms were spacious with wonderful amenities. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Wonderful breakfast buffet and the nightly Happy Hour was a nice touch. Had a wonderful time.

My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 school-aged children) stayed here for 5 nights during the Easter weekend. Overall, the hotel is a good choice, but I would consider other options if we were to travel to NOLA again. Pros: 1. Large room that comfortably accommodates a family 2. Breakfast and "dinner" included 3. Within walking distance to major attractions,...

I was attending a meeting being held at a nearby upscale hotel charging quite a room charge. I chose the Drury nearby to save a bunch of money. The staff was always friendly. I didn't have any problems so I can't comment on that. I expected the breakfast but was surprised at the early evening "snacks" and drinks, including complimentary...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
