Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Our first time staying with Drury Hotels and it is now our hotel of choice. We had the jacuzzi suite and it was perfect. Great value and extremely high quality. Everyone was friendly, the breakfast was great and the room was spectacular.

Hotel's Favorite
I stayed here for only one night and I was pleasantly surprised with all the extra free things. It came with free breakfast and three free alcoholic drinks and light snacks for dinner. Firstly, the room I had was a fair size. The bathroom was good and the sink is on the outside

Disappointed in the upkeep of hotel in a year. Lobby looks nice. But, hallway and Room rugs dirty. Housekeeping did do a good job with what they have to work with. Although, not as many toiletries as last year. Seems they are cutting back. The front desk help was not very

Sorry that we disappointed you this stay. Please know that we will be getting new hall carpet in the near future as the carpet we have has prematurely lost color (a manufacturing defect). Of greater concern is the desk staff not providing enough information at check-in, it seems we did not explain our features, sorry about that, I appreciate you making us aware. Patrick D. We came to New Orleans to see the WWII museum. We looked for a hotel within walking distance of the museum, and because of the location and good reviews, we chose the Drury Hotel. However we got much more than we expected. They have a very good breakfast, a social hour in the

The Good: Hotel is pretty nice. Good location and rooms are huge. Front desk people are very nice. The so-so: Food is free but starts to taste like mush after more than one day. Rooms are not very clean. Cleaning staff not friendly at all.

Thank you for the kind words regarding the front desk staff, this is appreciated. However, the comments on housekeeping are my major concern as we pride ourselves on being nice and clean, and it appears we failed you. Please call me, at your convenience, at 504-529-7800 to share the specifics. Thanks, Patrick

Is it safe to walk to Harrahs casino and Bourbon street at night?
Bourbon Street was about 9-10 blocks from the Drury. I wouldn't walk it at night. The streetcar ends one block from Bourbon Street, but I don't know how late it runs. We did walk it once in the earlier evening, but it was already dark, and we felt a little worried. If I was in a large group, then I might think about it, but not as a couple. There are a lot of homeless people all over NOLA, and they beg near a lot of corners. It can startle you when they approach you. If you want to walk to a jazz club not far from the Drury, go north on Poydras St to the Little Gem Saloon. It's right next to Drew Brees' sports bar, Walk-on's. Great music at the Little Gem! We were told that it was the 2nd oldest jazz club in NOLA. The food looked great, but we had already eaten.

Are there pet free rooms and/or floors? Can you guarantee one when booking?
Hi, taf75_11! Thanks for your interest in Drury Hotels in New Orleans, and thanks for asking this great question on TripAdvisor! Service animals can be in any room. Additionally, although we do our best to ensure that guests bringing pets into our hotels disclose their pets to us, some guests bring animals into the building without hotel staff knowledge. Therefore, we can never guarantee to a guest that a room has never had an animal stay in it. Our team would be more than happy to walk you through our very thorough cleaning process or speak with you about your concerns - they can be reached at 504-529-7800. We hope this helps, and we hope to see you soon!

Does the hotel offer airport shuttle service?
Hi, angel_gre! Thanks for your interest in Drury Hotels in New Orleans, and thanks for asking this great question on TripAdvisor! Our Drury Inn & Suites New Orleans does not offer an airport shuttle service, but they can recommend using a taxi service (currently approximately $30-35 to/from the airport) or the airport shuttle service at Louis Armstrong ($24 per person, one-way or $44 per person, round-trip). Our team at 504-529-7800 would be more than happy to help answer any additional questions. We hope this helps, and we hope to see you soon!
