Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

The credit card that I booked 3 rooms with was stolen and I had to get a new card. Reservations had been made months ago. When hotel ran card before our arrival, it denied payment so instead of calling us to ask for another card, they just cancelled our rooms with no

This is an old bank that has been transformed into a hotel. The lobby still has some of its original look, as well as one of the old vaults. I booked several rooms for the 21 people I was traveling with , and I must say that every room was nice, clean and had a wonderful view.

I did not get the opportunity to stay at the Whitney Hotel much to my dismay. I had two nights reserved. I made my reservations after much searching and closeness to where my conference was going to be held. The evening before I had to cancel my reservation as my flight out

Very efficient and friendly. Right in the heart of all the action. Walk to anywhere in New Orleans. The room was clean. The staff was most helpful at check in and check out with holding our luggage and retrieving it and our vehicle out of valet when we were ready for them. No

Can you open the windows for fresh air?
No, but I did not find a need to. The aircon worked fine and there were no smells

Hello, Our valet parking is $32/night for a standard sized vehicle, $36/night for an oversized vehicle. While our hotel only offers valet parking only, should you choose to want to park you vehicle yourself there are several parking garages near by.

Are service dogs allowed? (8 lbs)
I am sorry, I don't know the answer to that question. It would be best to phone the hotel, staff are very good.

We stayed only one night and parked at the Port. Parking at the hotel is around $38 if I remember correctly. Parking at the port is $20 a night. At the port you drive up, show your boarding pass then pay by credit card or cash. You then drive up to the first level and stop where the porters are. You show them your passport or BC and give them your checked luggage. From there you park on level 3, 4 or 5. Get out of your car, take the elevator straight down to the terminal.

In this circumstance its probably just best to call and book over the phone. I dont recall there being a free text box online for requests - have a look; you dont have to commit to completing a transaction after all

"We heard that the 4th floor may be haunted by a friendly ghost. On the 3rd only faint whistling when nobody was around!"
"Expected more but acceptable"
"If you don't like the night life and a game is in town, don't get the street view."
"Not a room that faces outside streets - it is a little loud. Beds are older but very clean and a great place to stay"
"Request a room that is not facing Poydras Street."
