I thought my room at this hotel was very nice. Everything was modern and fresh. Updated nicely. I liked that there was a little fridge, great for bringing back all of the great food I couldn't finish. I also thought the location was great, right in the French Quarter but set back enough that it wasn't a party hotel.

The Courtyard New Orleans is just tow blocks away from the busy Bourbon Street. As you are making your way there you will pass a few well known restaurants as well as the Hard Rock Cafe (which I used as my landmark to make my way back every evening). Lobby - The hotel lobby is located on the second floor...

Very nice Marriott property in a desirable part of the French Quarter one block from Canal St and Bourbon St. We had a lovely mini suite ( no view - but quiet ) complete with bar area and fridge. Everyone we encountered were friendly and courteous...from the reception staff to the valet parking men and the bartender. Loved our stay...hated...

My travel agent found this hotel for us. Perfect spot because it's right by the French Quater and Bourbon Street. We were upgrded to a mini suite with two king beds that was seperated into mini suites. This was ideal for me and my buddy because we have our own tvs and room. Service here is great, too. I stayed here two nights on a recent business trip. The room rate was very affordable (especially for a tourist city), and the room was spacious. Great shower...which is always a plus (walk in stall with great shower head and water pressure.) Well set up for a business traveler. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I found my room...

We had an awesome stay at this hotel. The property is very clean, the rooms were spotless and the staff accommodated every request. The location is perfect if you want to be in the French Quarter but not in the midst of all the partying. Another great feature is the property shares a space with the Ritz-Carlton, which is perfect...

After reading and studying up on the many places to stay in the French Quarter, I was so glad we picked this place. I want to thank all the desk clerks and housekeeping staff for their friendliness and attention to cleanliness and detail that makes this hotel such an inviting place to stay. Between the great service, excellently clean rooms,...

Karen and I stayed for six days in May, having a room on the 7th floor, tucked away in a corner of an L-shaped corridor. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, one block from Bourbon Street. We left our computers at home and used one of the four computers in the lobby. A fifth computer is used to print...

Stayed here week after Valentines Day Weekend, so this was our lovers weekend. 😍 The Courtyard was comfortable, convenient, and quiet . Away from noise on bourbon but close to action. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and rooms are amazing for the inexpensive price we paid. Will definitely go back.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
