We plan group trips to Carnival and had issues this year with getting a group rate. In our search, Courtyard Iberville was offering superior rates at their every day price vs even the national team was offering us. Our group booked with them and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed! The building is part of a whole historic block and offered a lot of charm. We liked that our lobby was on the second floor; feel like it keeps away riffraff. Our suite was average in size, but clean and comfortable. All rooms had a fridge (which is a huge plus) and had microwaves next to every ice machine on each floor (another huge plus) AND a laundry facility which is amazing!

Several members of our group took advantage of the gym, but we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of their partnership with the Ritz to use the pool or spa. However, the M restaurant in the Ritz has an awesome breakfast buffet for $38!

The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendly, informative and at times very funny!

If there is one downside, there is no bar lounge to sit and enjoy a cocktail at the hotel. Most people go down to Bourbon, but sometimes it’s just nice to sit and relax. That being said, when we return in 2025, we will be giving the Courtyard a call and hopefully we will stay with them again!

I booked here on a long weekend in the FQ. I didn’t realize that I booked a suite or was possibly even upgraded to a suite but it was off a mini hallway tucked away in the corner and away from any noise whatsoever. This room was bigger than my first apartment. Weather was soo cold that I spent a reasonable part of the time just relaxing in my clean, spacious room. No worries. The room was cleaned daily and housekeeping was quick and polite. Front desk staff were friendly, professional and great with off-the-beaten-path recommendations to eat and drink in the heavily touristy French Quarter. I used the gym daily and took advantage of the free waters available to guests. You gotta hydrate in NOLA. The young lady at Starbucks won’t win any personality contests but she makes an honest cup of coffee despite coffee being complimentary in the room.

Solid location. Easy walk to Bourbon St. but far enough away that you can get a peaceful night sleep. Acme Oyster House, Felix’s, Bourbon House are steps away. Deanie’s is hit and miss though. Wear comfortable shoes and get those steps in.

I like the location just off the FQ - it's very convenient to walk to the FQ and other points. The location is the best selling point - proximity to the craziness of NOLA without the noise!

Upon arriving, all the staff was cordial and helpful. Front desk staff was very nice and welcoming, acknowledging my Gold status with complimentary waters for me and my guest. The hotel is still working under COVID-19 protocols, so housekeeping does not come to the room during the stay and you have to order more towels, toiletries, coffee, whatever from the front desk or you can use the Marriott app. It was a bit startling when they knocked on our door to bring the toiletries. It would have been better if we just got an update on the app.

I loved the modern furnishings, including the barn door to the bathroom. It was a great feature rather than the typical door that would either swing in or out, hindering movement in the bathroom or that side of the bedroom. The shower was great size and love the glass door instead of plastic shower curtain.

The only issue I had was that we had was that the requested late check in was not in the system as I had to go back down to reception to get access to the room so that we could check out. We were back at room about 1:15pm for a 2pm checkout.

Valet parking was $43 for each night but glad we had access to car to visit areas outside the city.

Other than that, I would definitely stay at this location to visit NOLA/French Quarter.

This was my 4th and last time staying here. This stay was way overpriced for the quality we received.

1. There were huge stains all over the carpet. Bring slides because you DO NOT want to walk around barefoot in the rooms.

2. The cheap plastic part that attaches the toilet handle kept working itself loose, so during our VACATION, I had to keep taking the lid off the toilet to tighten it. Major inconvenience in the middle of the night. Otherwise, the water would continue to run.

3. Instead of having body wash in the shower, we had two shampoos and one conditioner. Zero attention to detail.

4. Since housekeeping only comes every other day, you have to track down housekeepers for fresh towels. When I caught one in the hall, I asked for fresh towels. She replied, “no English” and kept walking. I was literally holding up our dirty towels, so English wasn’t even necessary for her to understand what I needed.

5. If you come back to your room for a midday siesta, you can forget falling asleep. The housekeepers loudly yapped to each other from one room to another for HOURS. Also, one allowed her phone to ring incessantly. Unreasonably obnoxious.

6. You have to take two elevators anytime you come or go, and there’s only one that can get you from street level to the lobby. It’s a long, time-draining process.

7. The shower is so poorly designed, the door opens on the opposite side from the controls, so the only way to turn on the water is to get splashed with cold water every time.

The pros were the friendly front desk staff and the location. Unfortunately, for what I paid, that’s not enough to bring me back here.

Room was small and not worth the price. There are far better options in the French Quarter. Was put in a handicap room and the shower was poorly designed as the water would go all over if the bathroom. The actual shower was not sloped towards the drain. Closet door hinge dropped to screws while we were there. It seems that the recent renovations were not well done.

Room was quiet and staff was generally nice and helpful, though they did charge me $3.00 for a drink that was within my daily Platinum credit.

Won’t stay there again as there are much better options nearby.

The positives are the front desk staff are great and it is in a great location. The negatives are there are few amenities and the rooms are stark. No curtains, just electronic shades. No art except one small piece. There are microwaves, but only on floors 7-9 in the hallway. For $290/night for a King suite, it lacked a lot given the other cheaper options with more character. I suppose it depends on the price point and what you need. My husband and I were getting away for the first time in awhile and it was a disappointment. We moved next door to the Ritz, also a Marriott property. The Courtyard would not waive the shorter stay even though we were moving to another Marriott property. Yet the spa advertised with the Courtyard is the Ritz spa. As a member of Marriott Bonvoy for years, this was just a major let down. We have stayed in many Courtyard properties. This one is not to the standard of the others, but is in an awesome location. I would pay $125/night for it but not on a getaway with a significant other.

We had a king bedroom with couch. The bed was soft. The couch was old and soft. Our room overlooked roofs but the street noise was loud with racing cars and motorcycles. Breakfast is $30 per person ( we went elsewhere). Valet parking is $45 per night. The bathroom was nice, clean and they provide shampoo, cream rinse and body wash.

We stayed to celebrate my daughter's engagement and had a wonderful time. They checked in before my son and I arrived and were in an interior room. I stopped by the front desk and asked to be moved to a French Quarter view and our room was quickly changed to a beautiful view. Upon moving to the new room my daughter left a shirt she had purchased in the room, Gee at the front desk quickly retrieved it for her. Gee was absolutely the best and put the finishing touches on a wonderful trip! His kindness and hospitality are what makes a great hotel.

We stayed at the courtyard Marriott the French Quarter Iberville. This hotel is perfectly located near everything you might want to access in this part of New Orleans. It is close to Bourbon street, but not close enough that you hear all the liveliness. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Chantel and Kim were amazing representatives who were able to provide great recommendations during our stay. Both food spots they recommended and clarification about the boat cruises on the river were perfect. We had one issue with a broken window shade, that was repaired promptly and when we needed to call the desk, the response was immediate. We would most definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone interested in going to the French Quarter.

My wife and I decided to go to New Orleans in August (2023) - the travel rates are much lower and places not as busy (of course, some are on limited hours as a result). The down side is that it was so very hot, ranging from high 80s and 90s to over 100F and very humid. We still had a great time and enjoyed the food as well as generally excellent service everywhere.

We stayed here and enjoyed the location - it was a block from Bourbon Street, and that kept it nice and quiet but still close to the action. It is just off Canal Street, which gave us easy access to street cars (get a Jazzy Pass) and it is easy to bypass some of Bourbon Street to get to other places.

Our room was beautiful and well appointed and housekeeping was awesome. The front desk helped us with transport to the airport and many questions we asked. In all, this was a perfect spot to explore the French Quarter if you wanted to be close to Bourbon Street.

On the downside, they were in the middle of renovations, so our extra room requests could not be honored (not a big deal) and there was loud work going on the whole time we were there (only during the days) as well as some rearranged elevators. This was minor considering the location and service.

Highly recommended!

We were there in early March and its a couple blocks to the Street Car pickup. Then quite a few stops, farther than I would walk. I would say 3 miles max> I am not from there but we really liked the University District.
