Clean, friendly hotel. Had young kids with us who enjoyed the courtyard pool. Rooms with balconies on Bourbon pretty pricey but without view still comfortable and clean. There is a small bar area and restaurant on the premises. Big screen TVs.

Valet was very simple, check-in even easier and we were in our fourth floor room in less than 10 minutes of arrival. Sits right in the middle if bourbon street. Great access to all venues and very close to Jackson Square. We will stay here from now on. Try to use Leland at the front desk if you can. Get...

We have been to New Orleans lots of times and never stayed in the French Quarter. We were always afraid it wouldn't be the best experience for sleep and needing to get out of the chaos for the night. Well we absolutely loved the location of this hotel and the Staff were fantastic. They were very friendly and tended to...

If you want to be right in the centre of the action this is perfect. The main entrance, along with many balconied bedrooms open out directly onto Bourbon Street. If, however, you seek peace and tranquillity then you shouldn't be staying in this location anyway! Having said that the courtyard view rooms were relatively quiet. Hotel is functional - not...

The location was great- we were right on Bourbon and in (what felt like) the middle of the French Quarter. The hotel was safe, I appreciated that there was security at the entrance at night (even Sunday and Monday night) to keep out non guests. The hotel staff was very helpful. We repeatedly asked for suggestions and got great places...

“Disappointing” wouldn’t begin to encompass our experience here last weekend. Perhaps it was due to the holiday weekend, but as SPG Gold members, we have never experienced service as blatantly rude as we did at this property. It was so unbelievable at times we thought we surely were the victims of an odd hidden camera show where at any point...

We usually stay at the Royal Sonesta and couldn't get in. Ended up booking a room here and was quite please. The location is perfect. Just walk outside and you are on Bourbon street right in the middle of everything. Had a room not facing bourbon street and it was very quiet. Had a few drinks at the bar and...

We stayed here during a recent trip. We usually stay in the Quarter but this was our first stay at this hotel. We had a shared balcony room facing the pool. The other reviews are correct, this hotel definitely caters to the raucous party crowd. We had a large bachelor party staying next door to us who kindly left their...

This hotel is at the corner of Bourbon and Toulouse, so all of the parades go right by. At 5pm, the police barricade Bourbon so people can walk along without traffic, and then it gets crazy. Crazy fun but CRAZY LOUD too. Our room was on the 5th floor, by request, and we faced west, away from the hubbub. The...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
