Margaret Place is exactly like staying at your friend’s mansion. Owned and operated by young architect Trenton Gauthier, AIA along with his team of local creatives, the six-room boutique hotel certainly isn’t for everyone. But, for those in the know, it’s the obvious choice.

Margaret Place is the perfect synthesis of old world charm and modern convenience. The room I stayed in was very spacious and stylish, featuring a gorgeous wood accent wall with shelves and a modern bathroom, equipped with every possible toiletry, including disposable razors and shaving cream, emory boards, ear plugs for the shower, and even condoms! There is a great walk - in shower and a "smart" toilet. My only criticism is that the wonderful lit magnifying mirror is mounted in a place that makes it highly uncomfortable to use, because of the hair dryer and curling iron holder.

The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful, including helping me carry my nearly 50 - pound suitcase up the stairs to the top floor. (thank you, Jen)

Margaret Place is a lovely hotel and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when in NOLA.

I happened to find this gem on my many long searches of boutique hotels in the area. We could not be happier with our stay! My husband and I unexpectedly had flight delays, and were not able to get in until 1:00am of the night we were supposed to check in. We were greeted at the door, and shown great hospitality even with the very late arrival. I wish we could have arrived earlier to really get a better glimpse into what the rest of the place was like, but our room was beyond expectations. It was spotless, comfy & cozy, yet trendy. They thought of everything that guests may need, and had wonderful little touches of hospitality everywhere. And the bathroom/shower was amazing (it makes us want to update our own back home!) They were even gracious enough to let us have a late check out so my husband could attend his online classes. We would totally recommend this stay for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway! We can’t wait to come back to stay whenever we get to visit NOLA next!

By Alexa & Alexandro Castellanos.

We are a couple that don’t get to travel often. From the minute we walked inside we were immediately taken away by the attention to detail present at Margaret’s place, in it’s staff, decor & the ambiance.

The endless pool provided the perfect spot to relax during the evenings, especially since it’s open 24/7.

We lived an experience where elegance, comfort and history meet. You become one with the history of the house.

The bedding was the most comfortable, it’s like being hugged by a loved one!

Booking at Margaret Place was smooth, & their staff the most accommodating with flexible check in hours.

We highly recommend their breakfast, the slow cooked pulled pork hash with a mago matcha drink!

Incredible! I found this gem while searching the hundreds of options available in NOLA, i booked my room based on my budget and my desired list of ammenities never expecting to find a place that would exceed my list. Tom the personal hospitality of Jen to the immaculate high tech room features in a safe comfortable renovated environment, words and pictures fail to express my opinion of the most impressive boutique hotel! Highly recommend and I will definitely be returning
