This is the perfect New Orleans Hotel. It is located in the warehouse district, but is a short walk to the French quarter and other attractions. They have secure parking, and the hotel and it’s staff are amazing. The rooms are pristine and beautiful. They have wine and cheese each night in the living room, along with a ‘secret’ room entrance to the speakeasy next door. Just don’t miss it.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Maison de la Luz. It was a relaxing weekend getaway in the midst of the COVID craziness of 2020. The hotel property is beautiful and the staff was absolutely amazing. It was clear that they were committed to ensuring that we had a wonderful stay. They went above and beyond to accommodate our every whim. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was like no other. Sarah is a magnificent hostess. Thanks for helping us recharge our batteries in your quiet sanctuary. We will definitely return.

Maison de la Luz is an absolutely stunning hotel. From the moment we walked in you can feel the old world luxury of this boutique hotel. We were graciously upgraded to a spectacular suite that I can not rave enough about. Every detail of this room and its luxury design reminded me of Paris. Although we only stayed one night our service at the front desk was excellent. We look forward to returning to the Maison de la Luz soon! Thank you for your hospitality and impeccable service.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for four days and nights. I had planned the visit long in advance and had to modify my reservation twice due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions and ongoing pandemic. The hotel was helpful with the reservation modifications and very accommodating. From the moment we arrived we encountered the perfect combination of gracious courtesy and helpful inquiry. The hotel itself is a beautiful gem. I always seek out architecturally or decoratively unique places to stay when I travel and the Maison de la Luz was a feast for the senses. The ambience is very European. The amenities are absolutely modern/American [fabulous bathrooms with wonderful shower pressure, lots of fluffy bath towels and spa robes and slippers]. The staff, from the personable doorman Shane, to the delightful general manager, concierge and desk staff, and wait staff in the delightful restaurant, were to a person the embodiment of grace under pressure. This is a unique time to be in the hospitality industry and this jewel of a hotel with it’s beautiful reception areas, seductive and relaxing bar, and luxurious bedrooms, more than deserves to ride out the storm. I can’t wait to go back and make this my home away from home in the coming years.

I have read and seeing raving articles about Maison de la luz (decor, design, etc) so when you have higher expectations usually you are bound to be dissapointed...unfortunately it happened. The property is beautiful and the location excellent. For such a expensive hotel, things are not running as a tight ship as you might expect. Minor things that diminished our experience. We were given a room where the closet's light never turn off so it was annoying at night. They sent somebody from maintenance who said he didn't know how to fix it ..and that was the end of it...never fixed. bulbs on the lamp were not working. 2 sconces on the hallway were missing, the mirror on one of the elevators was broken and one of the chair at the bar was broken...we reported this a couple of times without really receiving any feedback. Also, at night you need to ring a bell for them to open the door. The person at the FD took a while..we waited..when he opened he didn't even mentioned why it took for him so long to open the door....As a plus, we really loved our room and the design in general. I hope they begin to pay attention to these details as they detract from the experience.
