There is so many positive things to say about Pierre Coulon and all reviewers have detailed them. Let me add two: - Stephen is a host one wants to have anywhere he stays whether in B&B or in a luxurious hotel - kind , generous, polite , helpful and knows everything about the town. -Having morning coffee or tea in...

I am so happy we chose to come to this house. Being 3 French on a trip, we didn't really know much about New Orleans, But when we arrived, we were wonderfully welcomed and Steven had explanations and maps for us. All the addresses he suggested were great ! The house itself is very welcoming, very clean and the beds...

Excellent – perfect location in the Marigny, historic building, very quiet, very clean, very comfortable, gorgeous garden, easy parking on Spain Street. Stephen, very friendly and welcoming, takes care of all the details. Highly recommended.

The garden and accomodations were very inviting and comfortable and we parked the car and walked or took the street car everywhere which was wonderful. Stephen was the perfect host. I would definitely recommend it.

We’ve stayed in dozens of B&Bs and guest houses all over the United States and Europe, and have visited New Orleans for over 20 years, but can honestly say that the Pierre Coulon Guest House is our very favourite place to stay, not only in New Orleans, but anywhere. If you'd like an alternative to staying in the “touristy” French...

My wife and I stayed for one week in this fun and funky guest house and could not have been more pleased. It is lovely and comfortable, very affordable, ideally located in a quiet neighborhood right next to the French Quarter, and has it's own private entrance through a charming patio - not that we minded our wonderful interactions with...

We stayed at Pierre Coulon for four nights and could not have been more comfortable. The house is charming with an old world feel. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the bathroom light and airy and the beautiful French doors open out to a lovely garden, even in winter. This is an entire house, not just rooms. You have your own...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this wonderful guest house for four nights late December. It is a beautifully appointed house that sits in the back of a lush garden, behind the actual house of the very nice owners. The guest house has two levels that you have all to yourself, including an open kitchen (perfect for making your own...

My family of five (three kids, 6-11) stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving weekend, and it was ideal for us. The comfortable guest house with a sitting area and kitchen downstairs accommodates late-nighters and early-risers while others sleep upstairs (folks with kids might particularly appreciate this detail). The space is well-appointed including with little comforts (kleenex, tea, granola bars)...

The vacation rental was perfect. It exceeded any expectations my group had and the owners were incredibly courteous and helpful. The location of the rental made it easy walking distance to the local flare. The on-the-street parking was simple and convenient. If I can ever find time to visit New Orleans again, this rental will be a MUST for my...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
