The house is a Victorian style built in 1905 and has all the original floors and chandeliers with 12 foot ceilings. We are just 5 blocks for the French Quarter and 3 blocks from the famous Frenchman St. where there is live music and great dining. The Street Car line that travels along the river is 5 blocks away and there are also great little cafes on the Conners from our place. The Marigny neighborhood was vote a top ten place to live in 2010 by the ADA. We like to say that we are far enough but close enough to the madness of the Quarter.

We loved the Sunburst Inn! Our hosts were very friendly, and they even helped us find off-street bike parking. The house was gorgeous, and we loved our room, with the gigantic tub. The amenities were perfect--I liked having plenty of breakfast items and coffee available in the room, but we didn't need a big sit-down breakfast, because we wanted to save room for all of the great cajun food for lunch and dinner. The hosts were awesome with offering suggestions for clubs and restaurants. We want to go back!

1905 lovingly restored house in delightful Marigny/Lower French Quarter, easy walk to attractions but far enough away to be a real neighborhood. Lyft to Sunburst and info lady at the airport were surprised at the street telling us it was dodgy at night. Never a hint of a problem. We seniors stayed in the top floor suite. Comfortable, quiet, breakfast fixings provided. $100 a night, more on event days, e.g. Mardi Gras. Don't know what it'd be like in summer. Difficult stairs to second floor and access to tub shower, caution advised for less mobile. Our host who lives in the back with his partner couldn't have been kinder, more accommodating. Example, we had assumed wrongly our cruise would keep our luggage in the hours before our flight. Darrell stored our luggage in the interval, cheerfully, saving us a deal of hassle.

We have stayed here several times over the last 4 years and it's our "Go-To" accomodation. The hosts can't be anymore kind or helpful in suggestions. The location is the best and walking distance to the FQ or to many fine establishments in the Marigny. Uber is about a $10-20 ride to most any distant destination in the city. Easy to get to off I-10. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, and most any amenity is available. You won't regret choosing this for your stay.
