I really wanted to like this hotel as it is very nice on the surface. The front desk is so unhelpful! I requested a clean for the next day once I realized that I needed towels and toiletries for the next day. I called down to the desk and they told me that I need to schedule a clean, which I did for the next day, I scheduled it for noon and I left at 10am. I did not return until almost 5pm later that day to see that my room was never cleaned and I still did not have clean towels, more toilet paper and toiletries. I went down to the front desk to ask if it could be cleaned while we were out for dinner. We were told that the cleaning staff was leaving for the day. No apologies, no is there anything you need, not a word! Kind of despicable. Will not recommend or stay there ever again. You are just a sucker and a number not a valued guest!!!

We arrived to the hotel late. They had everything ready for us when we arrived. The room was spacious , updated and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We we worried about parking but we had no trouble securing a spot. The hotel is within easy walking distance to downtown and the French Quarter.

Do not stay at this hotel. There were random charges on my credit card from this hotel I asked the front desk what the charges were and they said I don't know. Now I have to dispute it with my credit card company. Another thing that I hated was that you could hear the workers painting in the hallway having conversations on the phone while they were working early in the morning. My biggest problem was that I asked the front desk if they could hold my luggage after check out and she said it would be $2 for each luggage( I had 3) and she said it was cash only I asked if there was any way she could just charge it to my card and she said no. I checked my credit card transactions and there was a $6 charge for the luggage!!!! All this hotel does is charge you for stuff you didn't purchase! Now I have to go through the hassle of having to dispute these transactions. I asked for a copy of my bill and these random charges are not on there.

I didn’t actually stay at the hotel, but rather cancelled our reservation after what we learned. The Web site doesn’t make any mention of the fact that almost the entire property has been leased to FEMA for housing of storm evacuees. Although some rooms can be booked on the Website, FEMA clients occupy most of the hotel’s rooms. When you ask the desk whether FEMA is the major tenant at the moment, they will confirm it (but not volunteer it). This partially explains why all the amenities of the hotel (restaurants, bar, swimming pool) are shut down. The official explanation is that they have no staff, but other NOLA hotels are getting by.

Pools closed. No housekeeping. Smokers always gather just outside the only entrance / exit doors. Inconsistent security. Guests smoking marijuana in their rooms with pot smell inundating the whole floor. Only two laundry machines for hundreds of rooms. No on-site parking. No help or advice in finding parking. This hotel is taking advantage of government workers and hurricane survivors that are staying here. While many hotels in New Orleans are operating with reduced services, this hotel has suspended all services. 15 day stay with no housekeeping.
