Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

First time in New Orleans. We loved the Jung hotel. It is newly renovated with modern decor. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is huge and has a very nice shower. They give you 2 free waters a day and there’s fruit infused water in the lobby. We liked the coffee bar

I am a local. I hosted a bachelorette party here with some friends that came to town. The room was beautiful and spacious, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the hotel itself is very modern. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is conveniently located, nice walk to the quarter, easy to access the I10 for day trips out of the city. The hotel is clean with a great coffee bar in the lobby, along with the kitchenettes making quick meals easy!

It is not particularly close to City Park, but if you have a little time on your hands, you can ride the street car there. There is alot of acreage in City Park, including a Sculpture Garden, which is free. The Jung doesn't have any exclusively kids oriented areas (like an arcade, etc.) but I wouldn't consider it family unfriendly either.

How big is the pool?
The pictures look beautiful. We were there for the sugar bowl and it rained the entire weekend so we never had an opportunity to go up there.
