Experience New Orleans in a whole new way when you stay at the Cambria New Orleans Downtown Warehouse District hotel! Located in the city's hip, bohemian arts district, our newly constructed hotel strikes the perfect blend of business, fun, and that unmistakable Big Easy style. With boutique accommodations, a full range of tech-forward amenities, and a refreshingly relaxed vibe, the Cambria New Orleans Downtown Warehouse District offers a decidedly different hotel experience that echoes the dynamic spirit of the city itself. From the moment you step foot in our stylish & breezy lobby to the moment you wake up in your loft-inspired guest room after an epic night in the French Quarter, you'll absolutely love our upscale but never uptight New Orleans hotel.
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
After deciding to visit New Orleans to see The National WWII Museum, I wanted to find a great hotel within walking distance of the museum. I turned, as always, to TripAdvisor and its knowledgeable, and valuable user community.
Another big win for me and for TripAdvisor! The Cambria Hotel & Suites was everything I could hope for ... reasonably priced, beautiful, large room, tremendous customer service, a great breakfast, and some nice conversation one evening at the bar.
The experience started out great from the moment I caught the 'Airport Shuttle' to the hotel. The 'Airport Shuttle' was fine, good value, although the van itself was fairly tight with lots of passengers. Great service though - I was dropped off right in front of the Cambria, and walked in to the spacious lobby, promptly greeted at the front desk by Blaine - extremely friendly and welcoming. Blaine offered suggestions for dinner, and also provided a very nice map of the area. Great guy.
I asked for a quiet room away from the street noise and elevators - Blaine obliged. Great room - spacious, comfortable bed, spacious, modern bathroom ... couldn't be better. I believe the hotel itself is just about a year old ... everything is nice and fresh. Great shampoo, conditioner, soaps .. everything you'd expect. The only downside I experienced was a bit of a heavy-footed person above my room. Once I fell asleep, it was a non-issue.
Breakfast in the morning was great as well. Ordered a couple eggs over easy, toast, juice, coffee, fruit ... and an extremely helpful waiter - Elmer. Very courteous and friendly. Breakfast was promptly served and very fairly priced.
After my very full day at the WWII Museum, I stopped by the bar for a glass of wine ... great bartender, Anthony. Very personable. Nice friendly chat with other patrons as well.
Breakfast the following morning? Same as the day before - delicious!
Following my second day at the WWII Museum, I returned to the Cambria to pick up my bag and await pickup by the Airport Shuttle to return to MSY.
It was a great trip - too short - can't say enough about the tremendous experience at the Cambria. I'll be back!
This was a really nice place to stay. The rooms were very clean and had a modern feel to them. Really great decor. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly. The location was convenient for the convention center and not a far walk to the French Quarter.
I shared a room with friends for the Rodan + Fields convention which was a few blocks away. The accommodations were perfect and Will at the front desk went above and beyond the call of duty to meet our needs! Thank you!
We stayed at the CAMBRIA in Chicago last year and have always been on the lookout for other locations.
Booking and checking in was a breeze, we noticed that the hotel has plenty of parking all around, along with friendly valet staff. We arrived prior to check-in time and were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and head out right away.
The location of the hotel is in pleasant walking distance to so many attractions, particularly the French Quarter, Cabildo, Riverwalk, Natchez steamboat, Casino, and so many great restaurants and eateries closeby.
The hotel is spacious, rooms airy, comfortable, clean, trendy decor, with a great upbeat atmosphere. Absolutely delightful!
Checking out was simple, big thanks to Will, who was extremely helpful and pleasant, providing additional information and facilitating the process for us and helping to make our 2nd stay with CAMBRIA yet again so memorable!
In fact, every single member of the staff was always friendly and pleasant during our entire stay, thank you for another great experience.
First, I wasn't told there was a fee for valet parking, then the valets damaged my car, and won't do anything about it! They also stole items from the console, but that was really my fault for leaving anything in the car!
The hotel was beautiful and service was great, but the fact that they allowed their valets (some fly-by-night 3rd party outfit) to damage my classic car and then refuse to do anything about it, turned a 4-star rating into a 1-star in my book!
If you choose to stay here park your car yourself!
