We stayed at Le Meridien for four nights and enjoyed our stay. I was fortunate to have Carmen check me in. She found me a beautiful, quiet room on the 17th floor. The room was not huge, but I suspect that’s common for New Orleans. The valet service was excellent! Now for the bad. Don’t know what’s going on with the bed, but it’s way too soft and the sheets wouldn’t stay tucked in and everything just lumped into the middle by morning. I pulled the sheet back to see what was going on and wished I hadn’t! There was a waterproof pad on top of the mattress that wasn’t attached to anything, so the bedding just slipped around. And the mattress was nasty! Really stained. And it said Woods Hotels. What’s up with that! Was this bought second hand from another chain or there when this hotel was purchased by Marriott! Either way, it’s obviously time to replace it! Minimal, unimpressive lobby. Instead of a front entrance you enter through double wooden doors on the side. We did get our room cleaned every day, but we didn’t get clean towels. One night we had to go down to the front desk to get them.

Stayed here 3 nights in January. Room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. Plenty of amenities within the room. The lobby was a bit underwhelming. For a Le Meridien I was expecting a restaurant of some sort and a nicer breakfast experience. It's just a very small area for eating and socialising. The location was great!

Good location…that’s the end of the good. The most unprofessional staff I’ve ever encountered as a Marriott Bonvoy member. Not only is this an old hotel with faux modern renovations, the service and experiences are absolutely not Marriott standard. The assistant manager, a young woman has a horrible attitude and was repeatedly rude to members of our party during our stay. To make matter worst: we ran out of tissue and had to wait for a 6hrs. The rooms are so close to eachother, if someone knocks on your floor, it’ll wake you. We checked in and the cover to our furnace was open and there was mold and dust blowing into the room. We switched rooms and the room smells like mildew. The entire experience was terrible.

The hotel has cool decor and the bar is excellent. Great mixologist! Our room was ready before check-in time. The carpet outside bathroom was soaking wet. We didn’t notice until late the first night. The next morning I went to front desk and they promptly moved us to a new room. The desk was very courteous. However, when getting in our new room I noticed the fitted sheet was coming off the corners. Sheet was too small for bed. We tried to fixed it but I wasn’t going to remake the whole bed. Before 11:00 told front desk and they said housekeeping would take care of it. Returned to room at 6:30, bed still not taken care of so I told front desk again. Housekeeping leaves at 2:00 so they were not sure who would take of the problem but it would be fix. Bed never fixed. Husband woke up on top of mattress cover because the sheet came off corner. Valet parking good but no bellhop offered to us. Disappointed

During the busy Final Four weekend where we were forced from our original hotel due to the A/C being out and our room being over 80 degrees for a full day I made a last minute reservation at Le Meridien. We were able to check in within 10 minutes even though there were a lot of people coming in that day, and had a room waiting for us by the time we made the 5 minute walk from the previous hotel. The room was great, clean and comfortable. The staff at check-in and at the bar were super friendly, we were even offered a late check out the next day. The food at the bar was good, the drinks were great. If I had one complaint it would be that there was only one comfy robe in the room. But I'm sure that was just a mix up and we didn't call down to ask for another.

Not as advertised and Mgmt. takes advantage. Our experience was frustrating starting with a call to Marriott thqt day before booking to verify whether the pool was open and usable.. oh yes they say. We arrive and the pool is unheated and outside... with 70 for the high and colder at night.. not usable. The hotel has the mini bar stock like its a high class hotel that its not and the tiniest, warmest mini fridge ever (there is a sign.. its just a cooler). The rooms are awkward with the entry, bathroom door and access to the rest of the room very tight and uncomfortable. Charged us for valet parking.. we did not valet park and the most frustrating... comp. bottle of water was in the room.. common to give to Bonvoy and Honors members... I ask for bottled water at checkout at front desk.. specifically the free brand.. no problem, how many... no mention or cost or request to sign off on a charge.. We leave and are charge $29 for 4 waters. We contact the hotel, the manager says the price is posted. Not at the front desk... where it was given to us. 2 pros.. location is good and the front desk staff was really fantastic (other than post-trip Mgr interaction) PS Bonvoy also contacted and could not do anything... Hilton it is.

e picked the Le Meriden for a bachlorette party. Checkin was good, the man who checked us in was very nice and answered all of our questions. The issues started the next night when we discovered cockroaches in our room. They were even in our bed. See attached pictures. I’m a gold bonvoy member, there was a reason why we stayed at a Marriott property: their properties are well maintained and comfortable, with first class service, which comes at a premium. We called downstairs immediately and the front desk clerk, Danielle, said she would send the maintenance guy, Melvin. Melvin was very nice and helpful, and confirmed there were roaches in the bed. I went downstairs and there was no one at the front desk, at all. For 10 minutes I stood there, saying “hello” nothing. See video. Danielle finally showed up was super rude. She sounded like I was bothering her. We found roaches in our bed! She was offensive and condescending. I’ve never been treated that way at a hotel, and I stay at a Marriott almost every week for work. Danielle told me that there was nothing she could do, that I would need to talk to management tomorrow morning, other than moving us to another room, but the room looked used. Someone had used the toilet and didn’t flush all the way. I also called downstairs for water bottles and Danielle hung up on me! On the 3rd call she picked up, but she sounded angry. She said she would send up the water bottles but we never got them. After being up all night, we spoke to Corinna the manager and instead of comping us the night, she gave us $75 off and said she would comp our coffees (which we needed after being up all night). She never comped the drinks and when I called back a few days later to see if they could take them off, she said she never said she would comp the drinks, which my roommate heard her say. My roommate was staying an extra night under a different reservation, Corinna did cancel her night because my roommate could not stay in a hotel with cockroaches in the bed and horribly rude staff. Will never stay here again, and Marriott should take away their status as a Marriott property, or re-train the people there. Gabrielle was also very condescending and rude to speak to.

They overdraft my account and took extra money. And I calmly went down to talk to a staff member and was treated rudely. Then over two weeks after I left took over 600 dollars out of my account and still won't give me access to there manager. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to ANYBODY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

4 nights in New Orleans to take in all the sights and sounds. After many reminders our room was only serviced once and we needed to constantly stock our own coffee, towels, soap etc. Staff a little complacent and lack lustre and unlikely we would book here again, just OK and still reasonable value for money

Staff was very nice and made checking process smooth and fast. The rooms were a bit small but nicely decorated and showers were beautiful. This only downside was that the 4 nights we stood there, room service always came but forgot to put a cover over dirty mattress. We did have this taken care of right away when we called concierge. Location was nearly perfect. Great restaurant close by and we were right next to Harrah’s casino which my husband and I enjoyed. It was also close to the major amenities in downtown including trolly, Canal Street, and French Quarter. It’s about a 25-30 minute ride to Louis Armstrong airport.
