Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Lifetime Marriott Titanium member and this is probably the worst experience I've had at one of their hotels. We switched to a cheaper and far nicer Marriott option halfway through our trip confirming there's absolutely no reason to stay here. Bonvoy has seemingly dozens of hotels in New Orleans and this ranks poorly on location, quality, and price. But to be nice, let's start with the pros: -Big TV in room -Modern-ish decor Now for the bad: -Giant bug in the room -Lumpy bed -Platinum/titanium breakfast issues (see full summary below) -Shower design flaw causes it to flood bathroom -Humid gym due to broken entrance door (from outdoors) -Moldy and dirty windows -Refrigerator has sticker indicating it is just a "cooler" -Indifferent check-in staff Mentioned at check out that we were very dissasfied with our stay and were moving down the street for the rest of our trip. Agent asked why and I shared some of the issues like the bug and breakfast, doubt anything gets improved because of it. Platinum/Titanium Breakfast experience: At check in I was informed I could choose from points or daily breakfast as my arrival gift (they have no lounge). It was late and I forgot that breakfast is guaranteed separate from the check in gift, but they reluctantly agreed they were wrong when I brought that up before check out (I didn't bother trying for the guarantee compensation). Breakfast is in a "restaurant" on the second floor. The space must have originally been a causal siting area as it's in no way equipped for serving as a restaurant. The first three days they crammed a buffet into the walkway heading into the seating area. It was adequate (typical eggs, oatmeal, sausage/bacon, grits, fruit) when stocked, but they ran out of eggs for at least 15 minutes the second day. Day 4 (a Tuesday) they randomly switched to menu only service. The "Le Meridien" was the only option included for elites, and it was some fruit, a heated muffin cut in half, and a honey/yogurt parfait. I asked the staff why no buffet and was informed "management decides what to offer based on guest volume." Volume obviously spiked for Day 5, but still menu only service. I sat down with my son, was offered orange juice and then completely ignored. After about 15 minutes I found it amusing they kept ignoring me and I had a little time to spare, so I decided to wait to see if they'd ever come by. At 30 minutes I gave up and walked over to the register and asked if I could place an order to go. They apologized for the bad experience and put in my order, and almost another 20 minutes later I finally had food in hand headed up to my room.

Booked and checked in no problem til I saw the tiny watch where you walk or you will hit a wall room. View was good but we ordered 2 burgers and an order of chicken fingers as well as 3 hot Pepsi’s, $81.00??? When the rude lady came to explain she took 15 minutes to look at the menu where it says 18% gratuity already in the price? I wore my contacts and glasses and still couldn’t read it because it was so small. They tricked me and I couldn’t even eat the crappy burger and paid as much for the room?? I valet but no prices were mentioned and there is no other parking so if I see a charge we will have a bigger problem than their tricks to rob you. And they won’t let you take your luggage down by yourself? Just so they can find some way to charge you? They are thieves and I have stayed at more than 15 five star hotels and never been charged so much for food. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Pool is mini and only five feet deep? Who gave this place the title of five star hotel?

Good day, Thank you so much for providing your feedback, we sincerely appreciate it. We will review with our team and address training needs for our team member as necessary. Our prices are consistent with the other Hotels in the New Orleans downtown area, including the parking prices for valet. There are self parking options around the Hotel as well, should anyone rather park their car themselves for a saving. I understand your comments regarding the pool, but again based on the fact that we are located downtown, this is an amenity that a lot of our guests thoroughly enjoy along with a very well appointed health club. I hope that you will give us another chance to serve you in the future should your travel bring you back to New Orleans. Sincerely. JC Robert General Manager

Clean, modern and minimalist. Bed was very comfortable. A/C worked well. Rooms are fairly small, bathrooms are tiny (no tub if that's important to you). Scored a corner room which offers a little extra elbow room. Pleasant pool deck with a small plunge pool good enough for cooling off. Staff were all pleasant. Easy walking distance to French Quarter, Canal Street and Riverfront attractions. One of the four elevators was out of service which was a little irritating as it was sometimes a bit of a wait.
