Solid hotel. Comfortable rooms, though our room layout was weird. Just outside the French quarter. Easy to get to and a good night sleep. In house bar was priced as you would expect from a hotel. Good check in experience and check out was fast. Be forewarned the mini bar is weight based so even lifting something means it gets charged to your account
Loved this hotel. Room was spacious, clean, modern look and definitely upgraded and very quiet. Free coffee in the room. I arrived really early, at 1PM, and got the keys right away without even asking. Raven and Valerie were amazing. Very helpful and professional. The location is great. A 15 minute walk from the French Quarter. Mother's Restaurant is next door. Recommended for real NO, non-tourist fare. I highly recommend this hotel.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the view and location. As of March 20th, there is a lot of loud construction going on in the hotel and across the street at Harrahs. Check in was easy. When I entered the bedroom, I noticed a curtain was missing. I like a dark room to sleep in. I immediately went downstairs and told the front desk. They told me they would be right on it. After returning from getting groceries it was not fixed. I went downstairs again to find out why the curtain still was fixed (The phone in my room never worked). They told me someone already went to fix it which was inaccurate. Eventually after hours after the initial request they nailed in a new piece of curtain (they normally go on guide rails). The One day I got back to my room and housekeeping had come and left my room door open (the door was cracked and any one could have come in to steel my belongings). The bathroom had a lot of rust on the bottom metal of the shower (They said my room was just renovated). Since I am Elite member I am eligible for a complementary breakfast. The 1st day I got a box of fresh pastries with a small amount of fruit and yogurt. The 3rd day they decided to no longer allow from ordering breakfast and only had a breakfast buffet which was not provided complementary to elite members. I spent over 100 nights and $20k at Marriott properties last year. I was told that I was only able to get a pastry and coffee every day. 3 days I was able to convince the from desk to give me vouchers for the breakfast buffet unknowingly they would put $32 for each on my bill when leaving. I had to call the hotel and they had to do an investigation to prove I didn’t make the charges. The morning bar staff is rude half the time and upset that they don’t make much money. One morning after getting off elevator I proceeded to the buffet and the bar staff yelled at me to get a card from the front desk. I told them I was just looking to see what was being served. She snapped at me “It is the same thing as yesterday.” Another guest just wanted a cup of coffee which most hotels provide for free. The bar staff said they had to charge him over $4 unless he went to the front desk and got a voucher. The bar staff said “They can’t stand entitled people” after he left. The gentleman at the front desk said he would send me 10,000 marriott points for my trouble with breakfast which never happened. They seem to want to be entitled to tips for being rude and unfriendly. If you like a rusty bathroom, false charges on your bill, mostly unfriendly rude staff (a few great staff), and construction noise this is the hotel for you. I almost didn’t stay here because of the 3.4 stars on Marrott.com but now I know why. …
The location was great and always love Le Meridien. But this trip was complete and satisfactory because of PJ, the assistant general manager. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was to my standards. From checking in via email to her prompt response and resolution when things were not to par. Thanks PJ for making my stay complete.
Hotel is in very good location, close to the river mall and french quarter. Room were spacious but quite old. Lobby is very underwhelming, just a small bar and that's it. We only stayed for two nights. It was a good stay but was expecting a bit more from a big name chain.
A top end hotel in New Orleans. Close to food, shops and casino. The front office/desk staff was very, very professional along with their support staff. The beds were nice and clean with all was in place. My wife and I stayed here on March 6th after debarkation from a cruise and we are glad we did. The AC was perfect, bathrooms clean and the room was very comfortable. i look forward to staying again. Thank you! W.I.
This hotel is the Best!!!!! The renovation looks wonderful, feels like a brand-new hotel!!!!! And the staff is so accommodating and in the right location. I will definitely be back and tell all of my friends.
Great stay in New Orleans. I have found my new favorite hotel - the renovated rooms are luxurious and modern, and the morning breakfast is among the best in New Orleans. The hotel is located across the street from Harrah's so perfect location for some blackjack after dinner as well. I will be back!
