This hotel decor is edgy, trendy and chic. I loved it. More importantly, the staff was the nicest, most helpful I have ever encountered. They are a young group and couldn't have been sweeter. They assisted me greatly in trying to locate my luggage that the airline hadn't delivered from the connection they missed. We made it but my bag... More

I cannot tell you how wonderful and interesting the FRENCH QUARTER AND BOURBON STREET REALKY ARE.. So much to see and do.. The amazing amount of talented people and artists. The amazing amount of bars and restaurants, stores , beautiful old homes, historical places. I could go on and on but really you must see for yourself. Of course there... More

I don't know what it is with the W chain. It looks nice and pretty on the outside but staying at the hotel is misery. I stayed at the W in Mexico City and it was noisy with loud partying, DJ music. I couldn't get any sleep. Time I stayed at the NOLA property for business. They gave me a... More

We stayed during the recent Southern Decadence weekend. We were in one of the Wonderful rooms with two queen beds. The hotel itself is beautiful. From the street entrance, to the lobby, courtyard, and rooms, everything was decorated well. The room had amazing lighting with dimmer controls right by one of the beds. The wooden shutters across the window were... More

Really loved this hotel. Not a large hotel but it has everything you need. Rooms are a good size, beds are really comfortable, the pool is on the small side but we did not have any issues getting a sunbed. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing we ate there everyday i recommend the mini burgers chicken and pulled pork.... More

I was in town for 3 days and spent the first night here. Unfortunately I chose to leave to stay at my friends hotel for the other two nights because he had already booked a reservation. My family had Alex as our server at SoBou and he was excellent! He was incredibly knowledgable and excited about our experience at the restaurant. He suggested what is now one of my favorite wines. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxed evening. I couldn't recommend this place more.

My 10-year old son and I had an extended father-son trip to see the Saints play the Patriots a few weeks ago. First time visiting this exciting city, and I stayed at the W New Orleans – French Quarter. From all the photos I’d seen prior to booking, I had a feeling it was geared towards a young (and young-at-heart) crowd, and it did not disappoint. The décor was unusual, and modern, and classy. Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
