I am a Louisiana native and business owner. I have stayed at this hotel prior to and during COVID. The location is safe and quiet. The room service staff however, are lacking manners. When receiving the service and we say thank you, they either don’t reply or say no problem. This is not they way most people in New Orleans communicate, it’s not a “culture issue”. It’s a lack of manners and poor training for a service industry. The concierge desk was outstanding (Philip) was extremely helpful. It rivals that of the Ritz Carlton. The front desk employees were helpful and polite. The smell of marijuana was profound. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would recommend staying at this hotel, nor would I stay in the future. Hopefully, NOPSI owners will correct these issues before this building ends up like most buildings in NOLA, Empty.…
I stayed at the NOPSI for two nights earlier this week and I felt compelled to express how delighted I was after my stay. Not only is the hotel great but what really made our stay memorable was how wonderful and friendly the staff were. I would like to mention, in particular, Kevin the bellhop, whose level of friendliness and kindness I’ve never seen before in a hotel employee, or in many human beings for that reason. I can’t speak highly enough of him and how special he made my stay. I'm also very grateful to Marvin at the reception desk, who helped a lot during check-in and provided all the information I needed, and last but not least to Devin in the valet team, who was incredibly friendly and helpful and a joy to talk to. Beautiful hotels with excellent amenities like the NOPSI always make your stay nice, but it's the staff who make it truly memorable. In our case, it was Kevin, Marvin and Devin who made the difference. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. To go with the wonderful staff, the facilities and amenities are superb, the location a short walk from the French Quarter and two steps to Canal St. The rooftop bar has excellent views of the city and I could've just stayed relaxing in the comfy sofas in the lobby all day. 10/10.…
From start to finish our stay in New Orleans was amazing. From the time we checked in we were made to feel at home by the staff at the NOPSI. Any questions we had about the area a member of their staff could point us in the correct direction to meet all of our needs. I look forward to retuning in the near future.
What a beautiful, upscale and classy yet cozy hotel! Our King Suite Deluxe room was so big, well appointed, with a great layout and the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel. The location was great and was walking distance to Bourbon Street and Frenchmen's Quarter. You felt close enough to enjoy everything but not trapped in the middle of the chaos. The best part of this hotel was the staff. Kevin, the bellhop is the epitome of great customer service. He was professional yet friendly and helped us with luggage, transportation arrangements and other great suggestions for nearby places. Blaze was our bartender at the pool. He provided great service all day and gave us a suggestion for a dinner restaurant that was the best meal of our trip! He did a wonderful job dealing with some frustrated pool party goers who arrived to find the DJ had cancelled. He facilitated getting the guests in touch with management and also the third booking booking teams that manage the Sunday DJ party. Stacey, the concierge helped us book her suggestion for an awesome Cajun tour and provided quality suggestions for other New Orleans treats. And finally, Kiara at the hotel restaurant, Public Service, provided our final meals and cocktails with a smile and great service. Perfect conclusion to our trip. This place was a gem to find and we will definitely stay there on our next trip to New Orleans!…
This hotel knows how to treat their customers. We had a fairly large group of people, most who rode in on motorcycles, and they put aside space specifically for the bikes so they wouldn't be messed with while we stayed there. Their valet and bellmen greet you at the door and offer to assist you with anything you need. Check in was a breeze and the concierge ready to assist. The rooms were very clean; the whole hotel was clean! We spent some time in the bar having drinks and/or eating a meal here and there. Drinks and food were great. I have to give a shout out to Kevin and Tim. The bellmen who literally did everything for us. Gave directions, parked cars, took my bag to my room, got a phone charger from my vehicle. You name it. The last day, my group left and I was alone for the day. I had lunch in the bar and chatted with Kiara a bit. She gave me some recommendations of places to spend my afternoon. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!…
When my family and I arrived at the hotel I were a bit stressed. We were supposed to have the whole day to spend in New Orleans after just getting off a cruise ship, but the cruise that was supposed to dock at 8 am did not dock until 2pm. I have bragged to my kids how NOLA is my favorite city and I couldn't wait to show them all the reasons I fell in love with the city. All my son wanted to do was go on a swamp tour...LOL...by time we got to your hotel we literally ran in left our bags at the front desk and jumped back in the Lyft so we could make it to the swamp tour. I am sure I looked a little frantic when I was greeted by Tim at the door. He was immediately helpful and so calming. He literally took the stress away. He was said "don't worry, we got you, we will take care of you." These words were exactly what I needed to hear after a chaotic travel day. I was very thankful for him. Also, Kevin was simply amazing! He was so full of knowledge and so helpful. He was so calm and full of smiles. He had great words to share with myself and my son and I couldn't be more thankful as this came at such a great time. The room was AMAZING! So spacious and clean. It was exactly what we needed. Both Kevin and Tim were my angels for the short time we were there. Unfortunately, we didn't get the whole day like I planned, there is so much more I want to share with my family of your wonderful city. When we return we will definitely be back to stay at your hotel.…
We spent 2 nights (3 days) here to enjoy NOLA and this was perfect for us. Close enough to walk everywhere, quiet, pretty rooms, great bathroom (huge shower), and great lobby to have coffee, a drink or just people watch.
The hotel when I first got there valet was perfect walking into the building the lobby is beautiful people it’s nice pretty much a good check-in the bellman brought my clothes up to the room I got up at 800sq feet room I was a little disappointed with the decorations but the bathroom was drop dead beautiful so I still give them 5 stars because the people was nice and a wonderful price for the room I wish the hotel room just should’ve been a little bit more decorative but I would return from another stay
Be warned !! Paying 100. More per night for corner suite in photos is not the corner suite you will necessarily receive. Kevin the bellman was a delight. Other employees and managers could learn by example.
When it comes to the field of hospitality this your place. When it comes to accommodations, this is your place! Nopsi Hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited. From check in, Barjonn *gotta spell check my guy’s name* treated us swell, went the extra mile to make sure we had a smooth entrance and exit. We were greeted by Tim when we arrived via Uber he took care of us and was a great person on the daily. Got to our room and was immediately impressed by the amenities. A swank bedroom, lovely double bathroom with a huge shower plus all the hotel needs had been met (iron, fridge, safe, whatever else you might need on a trip). We bumped into Kevin on our second day there and he immediately rifled us off a list of places that he thought we should go to and when we did go we were happy we listened. Paul on on the rooftop, the bartender kept us laughing also he was another great part of service offered there. A mesmerizing building aesthetic from lobby bathroom stonework to rooftop pools with a bar even a fitness room, the Nopsi is second to none. A top tier modern hotel with vintage remnants and a staff that’s beyond words. Location wise this is probably any one’s best bet for having a great time in New Orleans by foot it’s perfect and close to a lot, by Uber it’s not that expensive and your driver shouldn’t have a tough time finding you. All in all when you think hotels in New Orleans the Nopsi should be your only thought. Simple & Plain. I will be back to New Orleans and when I do come I’ll be staying at the Nopsi again!…
