I have visited New Orleans countless times over the years and I refuse to stay anywhere else but Storyville Hotel. The price is greatly affordable and the location is perfect for anyone looking to have a true New Orleans experience. In addition to its uniquely themed colors/decor, each room is clean and equipped to meet every need that one could possibly have. The grounds are safe and the customer service is excellent. Barbara, the owner, is responsive, kind & very accommodating. She is committed to making sure I am comfortable whilst I am there and most importantly, that I have a good time! Every time I stay, it feels like I am staying with family & friends. That’s the Storyville experience!!

First time using Air BnB and husbands first time in NOLA. We went a few days for my birthday. This little cozy spot is PERFECT for a stay in New Orleans. Excellent price and can not beat the location. We walked to the Quarter from here everyday and night. Always felt safe and comfortable and the room was precious. We got an up grade to the King suit and it was right next door to patio. Eat at Buffas down the street and there is a little market across the street for drinks and eats. Will defiantly stay here on our next trip. Thanks Barbra!

Keyless door lock for unit was temperamental at best; required multiple attempts to correctly lock; needs to be replaced. NOTE all other keyless building and gate locks worked perfectly. The resort housekeeper was very helpful. Check in/out was very easy. Inside the studio unit: Overall "ok" studio unit with full frig, microwave, stovetop, and most basic kitchen accessories. Cabinet handles had/were falling off. Kitchen counter top in bad shape. Would have been nice to have 1 or 2 lounging chairs in addition to the dinning chairs.

Due to Covid, tourism was low and some places closed on Monday, Tuesday &/or Wednesday. However, that minimized the need for reservations and waiting in lines. Recommend using the NOLA public transportation app and seeing the WWII museum.

We were not expecting an unstaffed hotel. Nowhere on the website does it say that. To me the word "hotel" implies that there's a staffed front desk. The owner/manager lives in an adjoining state but is responsive via text/phone call and pleasant. We stayed five nights (in the first floor 2-bedroom suite) and never got clean towels or had used ones taken away. The dresser drawers in my room were so overwhelmingly musty smelling that I never put my clothes in there and lived out of my suitcase. The comforter was stained and its cleanliness questionable. The smaller bedroom has no night table to put your bedtime essentials on. The courtyard is lovely, but the front gate at the street has no lock, nor does the back gate into the courtyard. Anyone could walk in off the street. There are keypad locks on all the other doors. We couldn't shower our first night in the room because there was only one handle for cold water. I'm sorry we didn't take pictures, but we weren't thinking of documenting the deficiencies, we were trying to ignore them and get out and just have a good time at the 3 day/night music festival we came to town for. The door to the fridge that had been delivered the day before fell right off when we opened it because it had not been screwed on! Luckily it didn't land on someone's foot. Someone came the next day to fix the fridge door and show us how to get hot water by rotating the piece that comes out of the wall that the handle should be attached to. The bathroom faucets are backwards, right is hot, left is cold. Someone should have checked beforehand that everything in the suite was clean and functional. The location is convenient, lots of stuff nearby. Some pros, some cons, your mileage may vary depending on your room and your expectations. We expected more for the price we paid. We wouldn't return.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times! I absolutely love it! It’s close enough to be able to walk, but far enough from the downtown area that you aren’t able to hear all the commotion! Always clean! The bed in the octopus room is AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE. Gated parking. The absolute nicest host that you can speak to directly over the phone. No dealing with 1-800 numbers or robots. My family will stay here every time!

We had the best experience with Barbara and Hotel Storyville. We had our wedding there and it was fantastic. The backyard is beautifully manicured with plants so I hardly needed any extra decorations. There is a nice long walkway that had an adorable little bridge that goes over a koi pond onto the stage. I felt very special waling down the isle. Barbara is so warm and accommodating. Plus she has experience with putting together weddings and was extremely helpful in helping in all aspects. We had plenty of room for our 200 guests plus a band and a bar. Besidess having the wedding there, we rented out the whole hotel for the long weekend for ourselves and our guests. We had a blast that weekend having events such as a crawfish boil. It was great to have a whole place to ourselves. People are still talking about our wedding weekend!

Great space for the price. The bathroom was really outdated with not much eater pressure. AC took a long time to cool the place down, you almost have to have it on 24/7. Didn't help that the temps were in the high 90's the whole time we were there. Love New Orleans, but I think I'll stay somewhere else next time.

The owner, Barbara, was great to work with! We rented the courtyard for a rehearsal dinner. The courtyard is so beautiful! She set up a New Orleans themed menu and the food was delicious!! Although we did not stay at the hotel, we did peek at the rooms and they are very cute! I would definitely recommend this place for an event and plan on staying here next time we are in town.

If I could give a negative 1, I would. The hotel manager didn't allow us to check upon arrival. We had to pay for a 1 day hotel stay somewhere else in the french quarter. There were no wash cloths. There were water bugs in the bedrooms. Lastly, the alarm system would activate if you sat outside, thus locking us out the building. The building manager was no help upon request. There was beeping throughout the night like someone was trying to enter the building. I actually traveled there in December 2020

Bad initial customer service. Unable to get in contact with point person on multiple occasions. Room was dirty, bedding stained. No heat, tv didn’t work. Went one night with no heat because call was never returned. Was moved to another room, went from a two bedroom to a one bedroom. This room, the tv didn’t work. Had to wait two days to get the tv fixed.

Do the rooms come with a safe?
Answer from Barbara L
New Orleans, Louisiana
There is secure entry into every entrance to the gated property of Hotel Storyville. We do not have individual room safes. We have never had any problems with theft at the hotel. Thanks

Hi I am not sure where the photos are of the studio as they have not been posted on our site yet. A professional photographer did take photos once and the photos were soo good that I told him they did look deceiving. I will take a regular photo and measurements if you like. Thank you for your interest Have a terrific day Barbara

Do not know if you got my answer yesterday. I used my cell phone. Anyway,...I have been a timeshare owner since 1984, and this is the first time I have written a review about a resort, let alone a negative review. I feel really bad about this whole thing...my Mother always said that if you can't say something nice...etc. I cannot imagine where those previous glowing reviews are coming from. I suppose if all I wanted in a resort was someplace to sleep, this might be it, but I doubt it. By the end of a busy, sightseeing day, we are done and need a place to relax, put our feet up, regroup and refresh and get ready for the next day.

No valet, but it is in a locked and fenced in lot directly behind the hotel. We never had any problems and the owner actually gave us a remote control for the gate so we could get in and out
