Four couples visiting NOLA had a wonderful time at this hotel in late February after Mardi Gras. Beautiful hotel in great location next to French Quarter. Staff provided impeccable service and acknowledged guests by name. Jazz band playing at hotel was quite good. Unfortunately Internet access is expensive and lack of coffee availability were negatives

The Ritz Carlton New Orleans is a special place. Start off with it's location, situated just on the edge of the French Quarter. It faces Canal, but it's back exit is on Iberville. No noise, but all the benefits of proximity. The rooms are well equipped - clean, decorated in a local style, with very comfortable bedding. The Club Level...

This property will take you back 100 years in time. From the moment you walk off the street, you're greeted by an "old school" doorman welcoming you into the Hotel. Surrounded by white marble and amazing original art you truly feel as though you've stepped back in time. Property/Location: It's situated on Canal Street and less than 1 minute walk...

The Ritz-Carlton really delivers on luxury, courtesy and convenience as always. We stayed in a King on the 12th floor overlooking Canal Street and requested a quiet room. It was quiet, spacious and comfortable. There was only minimal street noise on Saturday night, and the hotel is close enough to the action of the French Quarter but without all the...

Loved it. Stayed here for our anniversary even though we live in New Orleans. If you want luxury in a perfect French .quarter location and don't mind spending big bucks, this is the place to be. Service and staff wonderful. Rooms are quiet too! The spa is perfection at a top price though but you are treated royally. Dinner at...

The location is superb- at the edge of the quarter it is an easy walk to all French Quarter sites.. We stayed during Carnival and our deluxe double room had a view of the parades, as well as a river view. The excellent soundproof windows kept out most of the noise. Beds are luxuriosly comfortable, lots of extra towels were...

This is our 4th time to stay at the Ritz and, as usual, they don't disappoint. Coming in for Mardi Gras on Monday, many hotels can be like Grand Central Station. Not the Ritz. This is a well oiled machine. We've stayed in other properties on Mardi Gras and stood in line for one hour to be checked in. I...

Perfectly located on Canal St.,The Davenport lounge, Best Spa in the US, and a staff that is more like family than employee's of Ritz-Carlton that sum's up the best hotel in N.O.. Great for business trips, family vaca's or just a romantic weekend hide-away. When in doubt where to stay in the BIG EASY, the choice isn't hard and you...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ritz. Ive stayed here before, but made the mistake of staying at the Intercontinental on my visit last year and was beyond dissatisfied and disappointed. The Ritz New Orleans is a much better hotel and lives up to it's name on every stay. Perfect location!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
