I just checked in and my room is tight, musty and the bathroom is so cramped such that 2 people can’t stand inside at 1 time. Asked at the front desk for a room change and was told that there would be a $150 per night charge (and I couldn’t use points). I was told that I had to call to use my awards and then told on the phone that only the front desk can honor. Unfortunately, Aris at the front desk was not at all helpful. Have already placed a complaint with Bonvoy but truly lacking in service for a hotel with the Ritz name especially for a platinum member of Bonvoy. Sorely disappointed in the start of my trip to New Orleans.

Great hotel. Charming, comfortable and clean. Outstanding location, in that you can walk to the French Quarter in five minutes but you are spared the chaos of that area. Service was great. The food in the hotel bar was the best we had in the city, especially the gumbo. The spa was a good experience. Just a solid hotel with no flaws.

I’ve noticed inconstancies across Ritz properties and they are now regrettably becoming hit or miss. This property is a miss. On the pros, there is a Nespresso machine, bed was comfortable and tur. Down service was consistent. On the cons there are too many. Front desk staff are young and inexperienced. First room that I was assigned (no upgrade despite the hotel being empty) had a distinct cigarette scent and a non functioning AC. Humid and smelly. Should have been taken offline by housekeeping. New room was fine but lousy water pressure and shower was slow to drain. Basically was needing to rinse my feet from soap scum as there were 2 inches of water after each shower. Too much water softener so with limited water pressure, one leaves the shower with the sense of still being soapy. At some point when re-assigning the room, my Bonvoy app lost the reservation and there was no longer a mobile key (?!). The hotel offers fresh beignets in the lobby from 2 pm to 3 pm. They were stale both days. This is odd as we had beignets at our conference and they were amazing so totally confused why the lobby beignets are stale. Signage is confusing and difficult to find the elevators throughout the hotel. Just bad. This is a management issue and they need work. They apparently have renovated the Club level but charge much more for those rooms so maybe that the option for die hard fans. As for me, I will go elsewhere unless we see meaningful change and renovations.

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Ritz Carlton for business. Check in was very smooth and great customer service. King room. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom updated and loved the shower amenities to use. Every staff member I came across was so friendly and helpful. From the staff at the doors to housekeeping, those you met in the corridor or elevators and staff in the bar and restaurant all so friendly and out to make sure your stay was excellent. Food catered by the hotel for our event was excellent. Excellent breakfast and lunches. Yes two elevators one to get to reception. And one to get to rooms but to be honest this made it so quick. No standing in line never had to wait for an elevator. Lives the location and would say overall very happy with our stay.

Magnificent modern glamour and awesome high tea and superb jazz band await you at this fabulous hotel that with all due respect to Cafe Dumond makes the best Beignets you can ever have. Beautiful contemporary rooms and a five star spa round out this most magnificent experience.

Extremely pleased with our weekend stay here. Check in process was smooth and efficient and staff was friendly. We stayed on Club level which was worth the price and the staff in the club was extremely friendly and efficient! Shout out to Sunday and Lillian for taking such great care of us. The room was spacious and bed/pillows were comfortable. Bottled water was provided which was nice. The location was perfect with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely stay here when visiting this great city!

Huge hotel seemingly filled with business people. Clean and attractive. Was nice but didn't feel overly luxurious as I had hoped a Ritz Carlton would be. Walkable to most tourist sites. Staff was pleasant and service seemed fine. Odd layout causes you to have to take an elevator to the 3rd floor to get to the main lobby. Then to get to your rooms you need to take a different elevator. Needing to take 2 different elevators to get to your room turned out to be irritating after a while. I would probably not stay here next time I go to New Orleans.

Hotel is in a GREAT location. It also has a superb gold club. However, some of the rooms are in real need of an update. I originally had an "old room" but requested a change and was moved to fairly new room with updated decor and modern things like USB plugs, which surprisingly still aren't staples everywhere. Linens and bed were quite comfortable. Room darkening could use a little attention as the morning sun was peeping in more than I'd like. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband had a quick visit for a friend and stayed at the Ritz. The service was exceptional and they event surprised us with a dessert in our room. The only suggestion I have is maybe update the bathrooms. The marble is nice but the grout is a bit unkept. I’d stay here again!
