Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

This is a very nice luxury hotel with comfortable, well kept guest rooms, and outstanding service. One neat amenity is a champagne vending machine off the lobby on the 3rd floor. Also you the concierge lounge is very spacious and comfortable.

Let me begin by saying that we are long time Ritz Carlton fans; in fact, we will be at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman this week for the Cayman Cookout. With that said, this Ritz Carlton did not live up to what we have come to expect out of the brand. This was our second time in

The first room we had was unacceptable. It was not cleaned properly (beer cans left behind, stains on the floor and on towels) and there was loose tile in the bathroom. We called down to notify the staff, and they promptly switched our room. The second room was much better.

First time to stay at any Ritz Carlton and this was very nice. Bit of a chore to get around due to so many different elevators. Our room was clean and comfortable although we didn't spend much time in it. The hotel is an older building and could use some changes but having

I have stayed at several Ritz Carltons and this was the worst. First of all, when we arrived with 3 pieces of luggage there was no doorman in the front or the side entrance to help us. Inexcusable in a luxury hotel especially with this name. Then our room wasn't ready because

Dear fussytraveler49, Thank you for making us aware of your recent experience at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. I would like to sincerely apologize for the breakdowns you encountered during your stay. It is evident that we missed the mark in providing the service one would expect of The Ritz-Carlton Brand and for this I sincerely apologize. Is upgrading to the club level worth it and is the club level open all 7 days?
It is definitely worth it in my opinion. However, if you are going to be in meetings most of the day, then possibly not. The Club Level is open 7 days a week and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner bites. You could make a meal out of it depending on how hungry you are. They have a variety of cocktails and wine that are available I think until around 7-8:00 pm. The Concierge is amazing. There are also several private sitting rooms and this side of the hotel is definitely a bit quieter. I hope this helps.

Hi, I didn't find it all that exciting. In my opinion pass on the upgrade

They do have full concierge services and held our bags giving us a bag claim ticket. I am a reward member for this hotel chain and for reward members they offer a later check out. The reward program is free to enroll. Wishing you safe travels.

I’m not sure of the cost difference or if it will be available. I guess when you check in see if it is available and hopefully you’ll get the club level with the perks.

I believe yes. It's where I got dropped off. I'll mention that it is very easy to get around with cabs and Uber, so I don't rent a car when in NOLA.
