I can think of nothing good to say about this hotel save for its location. After a long journey there was no-one to check us in. No elevators. No hanging space in bedroom. Bedroom linen grey. Bathroom towels like sandpaper. Request for blanket ignored. Breakfast the minimum possible. At over US300 per night during Mardi Gras ... I'm left speechless...

The hotel only has two stars, so that's a hint about how much to expect. Our booking from booking.com hadn't fully gone through so our room was not available anymore. We were then put into a different room which was great. It's a historic site and so is the furniture. It all felt very New Orleans. Breakfast was porridge, muffins...

This hotel is conveniently located on the famous St. Charles Avenue, directly across from the trolley stop that brings you right into the heart of the city. The exterior of the hotel has stayed true to its historic routes. The rooms are modernized however still contain yesteryear touches. The hotel staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There...

Stayed here for 3-4 nights in September. They stay was ok. Unfortunately, the unprofessional manager ruined any possibility for a future stay. So, I forgot an expensive jacket in the room I was staying in so I called the hotel the very next morning. I spoke to the the male manager directly, and I offered to pay any shipping fee's...

This is a great way to see the city. We caught the historic streetcar on Canal Street and took it round trip. It is an inexpensive leisurely trip and you see many beautiful homes and much more. It passes by the museums and colleges. The cost is $1.25 one way or you can buy a day pass for $3.00 which,...

I wish I'd paid attention to reviews, because what people say about dirty rooms and terrible maintenance are true. First, the hotel claims it was recently renovated. This is clearly a lie, since nothing in my room had been updated (or cleaned) since about the 1970s. The room was tiny with decades-old sheets; the bathroom was literally falling apart --...

The room itself was clean and large, sheets and pillows need to be replaced there were stains and holes in them. Was very disappointed to find that the heater didn't work at all. Would've called the office but they close at 11 and I didn't get to my room for the night till 11:30. So if you're visiting in the...

I will give this place 3 stars. I loved the location with streetcars and bus tours right out front. Loved all the eateries close by too. I love old buildings and love the charm of this one. I feel safe staying here and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. Now....there's the room. The bed...
